Now THIS is pod racing! Or at least that's how I felt once I got the first speed booster. Super impressive dive into 3D game development for the jam. Nice chill music selection to go along with the pace of the game.

Just WOW! The physics mechanics is so good !

The only thing I would add is a goal (for the there and back part), like getting a key to the mother ship or getting medical kits to you friend... ☺

Hello! Great game, sadly playing this game was making my pc burn so I couldn't play much but I had fun playing as much as I could! i would like some music and sound effects though.

There are music and sound effects, I guess I just tend to put the volume lower than most other games^^

As for the game having bad performance, that's something I should look into. Maybe there is some stuff to optimize graphic-wise...

Oh there was music, I was playing through the game at max volume but didn't hear any music or sound effects, maybe its a problem that i have.

This was a real pleasure to play, very smooth and polished and I appreciated the little touches you put in, such as the speed boost effect and how the coins move towards your ship when you collect them.

Only points for improvement that I can suggest would perhaps adding an online leaderboard and giving the player the choice when to use the speed boost (this one is probably a subjective one though).

Awesome job!

The physics are great, this has a great feel to it. Smooth and responsive, something I can see turning into something very special if you want to take it further. Great stuff. (785 final score)

Made a highscore of 760, I liked it overall, the music and sound effects, the visuals.

A few notes I have: The ship was somewhat to much out of my control, it swayed a bit to much making it feel like you were losing control of your ship, I did like that the coints and collectables were drawn to you that you didn't needed precise steering. So it didn't matter that much.
Also the mountains were at some edges to hard, it woud have been nicer if they were smoother, but overall it was very well done, good job!

The controls felt super tight. I loved how the ship bobbed up and down based on the terrain. Increase the speed and handling just a bit and these would be incredibly satisfying controls for a racing game.

The structure gave the game some great replay value. I could see myself replaying this game trying to get a high score. The only thing I could criticize is that the ship felt a little slow. Other than that, the game was very enjoyable.

If you could play my game, that would be awesome!

Nice job! Felt fun to zoom around the course when picking up the speed boosts.

One thing that might have made it feel even better was having the main player speed be the same as the boost and have the boosts shoot you even faster.

The little bit of bloom to the ship was a nice touch and I enjoyed the music!

I'm on a mac so I can't play :( but it looks beautiful and I wanted to comment so it bumps you up the popularity in submissions!

Developer

Sorry about that, I kinda submitted last minute and planned to release a web browser version but I ran into some trouble :( Will probably fix that once the rating period is over. Might even make a mac build, although I'll have no way to test it.

Submitted

Just HMU and ill test it for you!

Developer

V2 is online !

I added a macOS version if you wanna test it. No idea if it works^^

I just tried and it wont't let me open it.  Usually this happens and all I have to do is permit the app in my security settings, but for some reason it doesn't give me the option with yours.  Can you export as a .dmg file instead of a .app file?

Also, I put another week and a half into improving and polishing up my game if you wanna take a look now and give some feedback!

Developer

So after some research, it doesn't seem like I can make a .dmg file with Unity (at least while operating on Windows). I'm still trying to fix the problems I'm having with the WebGL version (problems with shaders and post-processing not working correctly...) so maybe that will happen one day ! xD

Anyway, I took a look at your updated game and left feedback on your page :)

I like the design of the ship, very sci-fi! Felt a bit slow but it was still fun to find the best route.

I love the efx and bloom!
