Took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to do but once I figured it out I couldn't stop playing!

Fun game and cool concept!

It's a hard game, but once you get the hang of it it becomes really fun to look for the potions you need and explore the level as fast as you can!

I think an information screen on the main menu, or an opening level where mechanics are explained along with the effects of each potion would have really helped lowering the difficulty of the game, because when I started playing, I didn't have an idea of what I was supposed to do. For example, I understood that getting the key ends the level, but only after I reached level 3!

Also, everything feels a bit too fast in my opinion? Like how the text boxes disappear really quickly, I had to get the same potion 2 or 3 times to read its entire description. In the same way I thought the player moved a bit too fast, I had trouble keeping up with the game, and I often wouldn't know why I died (or why I beat the level at the beginning). So I'd suggest slowing the player down a bit, and the speed at which your health decreases (to compensate for the lower movement speed).

I hope that this comment didn't come up as too negative, I really like this game. Great work on it!

Thank you for the critique. All of which are valid points. I struggled with tuning the popups as the game was fast leaving it open for too long would obscure the players vision leaving them open to unseen perils. Better placement on the screen and longer timeouts in messaging would solve this. If time allowed I would have liked to implement tutorial levels without danger to better explain  the mechanics.  I'm glad you played it and appreciate the feedback. I am always seeking it improve and learn.

Love the effects, and good presentation. Are you going to keep iterating on the game?

That is a great question. I don't have any immediate plans but it would be fun to build on the foundation.

It took me awhile to realize what the different potions did, but I really like that mechanic. The game was super fast for me so I was running around collecting potions and sprinting away from guards that I couldn't read the text that popped up when I grabbed potions. Then in the level you had to be a ghost I finally understood what they did.

The mood was also good. I enjoyed the dark lighting and the urgency with your hearts constantly dropping. Nice job, thanks for sharing!

Great presentation and good use of the tile set. Really difficult game!

I managed to reach the 3rd level but It was hard to link the white potion with the ghost-wall. Anyway I think the fun on this game resides in the difficulty and the mastery of it (faster = fun.. Feels like  "I wanna be the guy" hahaha). Nice approach! The light also adds this scary layer to the game :D
