How does your game fit the theme?
Your heart is out of control. You need to breathe or you'll have panic attacks. Also, the rhythm of your heart controls the selected dialogue box and makes the minigames harder.

I really liked the concept of this one. Took me a few tries to figure out the mechanics, and the breathing was a bit annoying, but I liked it.

Thanks for your comment! I agree that it was probably a good idea badly implemented. With a bit of time on balancing and making the breathing games more fun, it could've been a pretty cool game I think. Thanks for playing! :)

Very interesting concept and I really liked the relationships between bank workers.

I'll repeat here, what others said in comments - the breathing minigame gets a bit tedious after a while and is a minor distraction from what's really going on in dialogues.

Hey thanks for the comment! Yeah, I should've noticed while playing. But since I knew what answers to give always, I barely had to do any breathing at all. Next time I will playtest more and try to balance out things. Thanks again for playing :)

Cool idea and concept, very original. The dialogue was great, though some things bogged the game down: first, the breathing minigame is kind of boring (the "panic" one is better, maybe too easy for the situation but it works imo) and dialogue fill with Space is a bit too flimsy and made me accidentally miss some cool stuff and dialogue itself.
I love how the only sound in the game is your heart beat, makes it much tenser than it would otherwise.

Developer

The breathing minigame was supposed to be easy but I do agree that it lowers your heart rate too much. You were also supposed to hear your heart rate during the minigames making the breathing game a waay more relaxing experience and the "panic" one a tenser situation (but sadly I broke that on the last hours and didn't have time to fix it).

The dialogue working with space was just to give the theme and your heart rate (it changes the selection based on your heart rate)  more importance. But I'll agree that in its current state it's more frustrating than anything. Thanks for playing and leaving a comment! :)

i love this!!! very clever, i wish i could calm down for the amount of time i wanted vs having a set time. but be very proud of this one

Thank you so much for that message!

You are right about that, I should've added a "press esc to exit minigame". It would have taken me less than a minute, but sadly I didn't think about it. Thanks again, your message means a lot :)

Not bad, interesting concept. It could be an interesting game with more levels and ways to calm down! I hope you'll keep improving it :D

I wish you good luck with this one,

Thanks for that message :) I'd love to at least make the breathing minigames more interesting and add some nice sounds and voice over :D

Thanks again! ^_^

sorry but i cant waste any more time on this i want to check other submisions not breathing all the time

Developer(+1)

Alright, I get that. Hope you do enjoy the other games :)

Cool game, that bank is a toxic work environment and this man has superhuman control of his heart rate. Maybe a muffled sound of a siren and a countdown timer would be a cool addition?

Developer (1 edit)

Totally agree! The idea was to have an overall timer and that each "breath minigame" would take out some time (so you wouldn't spam it). Also the story ended up being quite simple and there was no voice over (which I was super excited to do) but hey, I learned a bunch and the end product isn't too bad :D Thanks for playing and leaving a comment :)
