I'm honestly amazed that you came up with such a creative concept. How do you even think of something like this? And the way every trick interacts with the bananas, and the way those tricks interact with each other, blew my mind. You really put your heart into this game. It was a genuinely fascinating experience.

That said, while playing, the visible area felt too narrow, and the height didn't match the movement, which made it confusing to figure out where I was supposed to go. I'd love it if the player could see more of the screen. Also, maybe the lag at the start was due to loading? Was it because of all those interactions running? It froze pretty often early on.

Anyway, I had a great time with your game. Thank you for giving me such a memorable experience. And the fact that you made this in just two days is incredible!

Developer

Thank you so much for the heartfelt comment, I don't really know what inspired me! I see what you mean with the zoom level as well, it's why I ended up having to change it in some areas. Glad you had fun :D

Stuck in a place that seemed harmless but turned out to be a trap when stepped on.I really like this game and hope it can be improved!

Developer

Glad you liked it! Do you remember which area that was?

Just above the spot where the first monster appeared

Developer

Ok thanks

  • Very cool puzzle mechanics for just 3 days of work. You really feel like you're "beating" the game when you find a physical solution to the puzzles. I didn't quite understand how the game connects to the jam's theme (maybe I just didn't get to that point because of a skill issue), except for the banana, of course

Thank you, that's awesome! Michael is collecting pieces of a time machine so he can go back in time because he wants to save the Gros Michel banana, which was almost wiped out by a disease.

This is really underrated. I thought the game play was smooth, the mechanic was cool, but I didn't get the strongest vibe of time travel. I got as far as +Beosil did \/ below, that flying enemy was tough! Overall really solid. Great job!

Thank you so much! The theme and object combo was pretty tough.

Cool idea to use the banana in such a way. Let's you design a lot of creative puzzles. What about having multiple bananas (but smaller?) later in the game? This could open up even more possibilities.

After playing a while, I ended up in a place where I needed to defend against a flying enemy, place the banana for a higher/wider jump, AND avoid having metal balls hit me from above ... oh well, that was it right there =)

Really like the art, physics and polish of it. Enjoyed it quite a bit!

    Developer(+1)

Thank you that means a lot! I definitely would add more placeables if it was a full game.

Very cool mechanics! It was quite interesting to play through, the only thing is there are bugs, but they are not significant.

    Developer

Thank you! I'm glad the bugs didn't impact the game too much, though I don't think I experienced much or any personally, so I'm curious what it might've been.

Looks nice and feels pretty good! It was a bit laggy playing in the browser though. I liked the banana mechanic a lot

    Developer

Thank you! And yeah, I've gotta learn to optimize for web better.

It's a really fun little platformer. Mechanics feel really tight which is nice. Kept trying to reach every little nook and cranny with the banana that I could, not sure I was on task the whole time but that was what made it fun!

    Developer

Exactly what I was going for! Glad you had fun.

It's a really great platformer game, the mechanics are good, but it doesn't fit the theme at all. Other than that, it's fantastic. And one suggestion: you could give the `Destroy(this, lifetime);` part of the bombs at the beginning a lower value to avoid bottlenecks.

    Developer(+1)

Glad you think so! I definitely struggled to tie the theme into the gameplay, since I wanted to focus on the special object, so I ended up making the theme lore instead. Thanks for the suggestion, I figured since you can interact with them with the banana they should have at least a few seconds of life.

I hope you get a good ranking, and could you also comment on my game?

Not bad game. Cool models and mechanic spawn banana!

Also. You can play my game?
