i really liked the narrative of the game, and how it was constructed, well done my friend

The premise is really fun, and the cat is very cute! I enjoyed all the different mini-games. (I was surprised the QR code on the box actually works!)

I knew someone would be curious enough to check it xd

thank you for playing :3

Good premise and set up.  The dialogue is well written and voice acted.  It was easy to play and progress.

A few things I would like as a gamer (these are not criticisms):  I wish the cat would move a little faster.  I wanted a frame or two lee-way when the human appeared in the window, or an indicator that they were approaching so I could actively react and stop moving instead of just guessing a safe time.   I'd prefer the cat to stop at the edge of the screen instead of walking off the screen.

Overall, great experience!

Thank you so much for playing,

you have a solid feedback, I totally agree with those points, I will be correcting them after the jam :3

I didn't expected a voice acted cutscene at start :D Really loved the game, did you voiced it?

Developer(+1)

Hello, Yes I did the cat voice, it was very fun to do because I record with my cellphone and had to repeat multiple times because it was my first time trying something like that (Also some rusters and dogs barking on the background that ruined some attempts haha)

I really loved the humor and how the cat looks so full of mischief , good job !

I really liked the art you've done here, and that music is ruddy mysterious. I think there needs to be more of an indication that the humans coming to the window. As is, it feels too punishing when I make a mistake, having to redo everything. I also wish there was an option to skip through the dialog at the begining . Nice collection of mini games though, congrats on finishing.

Thank you so much for rating,
I have seen some gameplays on stream about the human minigame and I agree it would need some adjustments, I am planning to remake the entire game after the gamejam to include all minigames and adjustments I collected from the community feedback :3

Really lovely game, with beautiful art and script. Congratulations on such a good work!

The first level really confused me.  I didn't immediately get what I was supposed to do.

Thank you so much for playing, I think it needs some better indications, I will adjust that after the gamejam :3

Machine Pets won me over immediately with its crayon art style — it feels personal, playful, and full of character. The voiceover intro was a smart addition that sets the tone perfectly.

And what a tone it is. A house cat trying to sabotage its robot replacement? That's a fantastic concept, and it fits the Machine theme in a delightfully unexpected way.

The minigames keep things varied, and watching the cat's plans go hilariously wrong never got old. The music complements the vibe nicely as well.

Overall, a really charming entry to the jam.

It reminds me of an episode of Tom and Jerry. Nice art

Cool idea. I really like the intro, it draws my attention into the storytelling of the game. I do think that the gameplay could be structured more linearly than a selection of mini games to complement the storytelling better. Great concept, needs more tutorial for each minigames though.

Me thinks that the real Shakespeare might have been a POET and CAT. That intro was really, really good.  And the music was also top notch. I wasn't as fond of the gameplay, at least in part because it wasn't clear if there were controls beyond just moving??

Cool! I like it! But I wish the cat had been a little faster!

Funny game, well done!

I like the art style - it is charming. The simplicity fits the story. One note - the menus' background is too precise compared to the rest of the game. It is more fitting for some engineering game.

The whack-a-mouse is cool. Sneaking was challenging - I think I counted 4000 miliseconds between the human's appearances - it may be good to keep it a constant time. Looking forward to drowning that metal toy!

Another suggestion - you can make the bush where the mouse is random. This would increase the replayability.

Great game!
