I tried your game and unfortunately I got stuck :-( I retried but the game crashed again. I recorded my playthrough if that helps

Developer (1 edit)

Sas news:

I didn't had time to complete the game but I got into this place where i had 2 choose:

My first idea was that it's a Colosseum and monsters come and you need to beat them for stealing you

But the enemy ai was bad but the spawning was worse because when a new enemy spawned all the enemy went back to full HP

So I just needed to make a quick story about some void guys

Maybe I should just make platformer next time őr a BULLET HELL but idk the next game jam gonna start after like 9 hours so I need to get ready

Thanks for playing my game too

Edit: I watched your full video and next time I will now enable the fullscreen this was now so helpful because the next game jam starts to soon

And when I see people commenting on the game I fell amberesed for knowing that how the game ends

Thanks for the feedback and good luck for winning this or another game jam because 2.5d and action games are becomeing more popular and I think that everyone enyjoyed your game and you will be in the top 3 + the concept is cool that the poison is killing you inside só you need the medicacion.

Hey first off: Please don't feel bad. The biggest difficulty with a game jam is making sure you get your scope right. If you try too much, it gets difficult. I have seen people who even fail to submit anything because they completely get stuck while developing. At least you managed to submit something in time

And everyone is on a different level of their game development journey. I personally have been making video games for literal decades now. Some people just started recently. It's all good.

I'm super happy to hear you are trying again in future game jams. The best way to get better is to keep trying and getting better through motivation and hard work :-)

I'm sure if you do this more and more you will get better and better. Just keep it up!

Thanks.👍

I wish one day I will make a good enough game to upload it to steam but first I need to be good az developing

Ah a definitely know what its like to struggle with time management. That's one of the biggest challenges with these. Great work on turning something in, that's more that a lot of people! There is a lot of potential here!

Developer

Yeah time managment is hard and the next jam i joined to is starts almost after thie jsm maybe a 5 hours later and it's just 2d 48h jam

Thank you for playing my game

Thats a lot of work! And you are welcome!

Submitted(+1)

This looks like it has a lot of potential, but it seems unfinished, ran out of time?

Developer

Yeah the first idea was a looping fighting game but the dead line was comeing and in the region where i live it was really late

Submitted(+1)

Think it might be best to try making a game loop as a concept over dialogue and visuals for a small project

Developer

I know I wanted it to be a fighting game but it was last day so I can't made it

Thanks for the advice

The pixel looks great. I would have loved to see what the end result would have been if you had enough time to finish development.

Developer

Thanks for playing I remember this is my 2. Game jam anya for my first game jam I maybe used the shame shader my 1. Game was called forever catz

I liked your game but I had had platforming skills

Submitted(+1)

smooth move and camera, but the game loading is a bit laggy

Developer

I just realised because of the snow an another dev commented too that the game is laggy. now i know why because of your comment

Big thanks for letting meg know this bug and for the honest feedback

Submitted(+1)

Both the visuals and the audio are pleasing. But I was looking forward to the game itself, haha.

But it has a lot of potential in a longer project.

Developer

Thanks for the honest feedback I planned to make a fighting game but I got stuck on the enemy's ai on the last day so I needed to game over it

Nice game, really cool aesthetics and I love the effort of a start screen as well. But I noticed the game ends a bit too quickly😅.  Next jam you should prioritize gameplay over everything else, get the core loop down and then start working on the extras like a start screen, SFX, etc.

But nice attempt, it would be nice to see where this goes.

Developer(+1)

thanks i placed graphics  over anything and then i didn'T had a good gameplay

but next time it'S will be so addictive that you aren'T going to sit up because you want to play more

Submitted(+1)

Nice game, but the browser version is too laggy and froze in the starting.

Developer(+1)

Oh thanks for telling me I didn't knew about this

Submitted(+1)

Really liked the music and the aesthetics, but was confused as to what to do really ^^'

Sad that it ends so quickly, really wanted to see where it went!

Developer(+1)
