How does your game fit the theme?
The universe is a cardboard box, god is destroying the universe, and you're a packing peanut. You want to get outside the box to kill god cause you don't want the universe to be destroyed.

I like the fact that there is only one boss, I was scared when i saw "first boss" because more bosses would have meant that i was going to spend the next few hours, frustrated, trying to complete the game.
This was hard but very fun and the aesthetic and art style are amazing. Great job!

Might just be my favorite game of the jam. I love the photoshop art style, stupid, and creativity for the whole move set. It feels very tight and fun to play. Only bad part was the part where it ended.
back in like 2023 i made a demo of a game with CRT tv's as the UI, it actually makes me so happy seeingthat same idea used here you have no idea. love the concept here, the creativity is off the walls for sure and im obsessed with every part of it.
I remember you liken this game to cuphead and I definitely agree. It's a nice put together game
Loved the parry, the punch sound effect made it feel really good. Nicely done!
This game is SUPER FUN and feels amazing to play. The artstyle, the controls, the TECH! Everything about this is awesome and I can't wait to play more. Having to sit through the 3 minute long tutorial was really annoying tho.
thanks for playing!! also, i did add a way to fast forward text with the c button, but i only mentioned it in the game page, not in the actual game, so i don't blame you for finding it annoying- glad you enjoyed everything else tho!
oh fair enough that's my bad for not checking the page
Huge fan of the unsettling visuals, especially the overlaid text in the boss health bar, made of different actual flower names (Hydrangea, Rose etc.) it really sold the idea of the universe being completely weird and disfigured during deletion. I really like the references to pre-1900s stuff too, like the use of the music by Chopin and even the cover-art being a direct reference to The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo.
Great Job!
wow oh my gosh thank you for the feedback!!! you're the only person i've seen pick up all the small details i added (even some unintentional ones too, but eh death of the artist or whatever) im glad you were able to get so much out of this silly game, and thanks for playing!
It is cinema!
good but a little short could also be harder i think? but thats probably just me
ty for playing! yeah tbh i got no clue about the difficulty- i only had 1 playtester before submitting and they managed to beat it first try, but then i watched a couple people play my game in vc and they all struggled with it so im a lil clueless, glad you enjoyed tho!
This was really fun! The only problem I had was that I didn't know you could parry, but I soon figured it out, I might've just missed some reading. Making stuff in Scratch is hard so this is really good!
ty!!! also i did bring up parries in the tutorial, but tbf it was mentioned in passing along with the punch mechanic in a wall of text so i don't blame you for missing it- glad you enjoyed
The fact you made it in SCRATCH make it jut more EPIC!
Cult. A Classic. Glad you entry this jam!
Really good work man! I love the aestethic of this flower boss, my friend wanted me to add a character with the same style on my game (unfortunately I didn't add it). Anyway, the concept is also peak. It's simple, straight to the point, and also very expandable if you want to make it bigger later. It was really fun!
Great game! Peak! maybe make the flower hit boxes smaller or the punch easier to use.
I can't begin to put my thoughts on this into words. This is a good thing! Also the punch parry was really satisfying to pull off on the petals.

Genuinely such a fun game! Where to start! The controls are super snappy which allows for that high intensity gameplay to go along with the unsettling visuals. And talking about the visuals, oh my GOD (may he soon rest in peace) the art direction is so stunning and coherent. I love how everything is this oddball mashup of abstract realism (I don't know what else to call it lmaooo). Amazing title, the vision is super clear and the gameplay is peak. 10/10
aww tysm!!
Super short and sweet (i beat the boss in 30 seconds) but damn dude, this game is awesome. The biblically accurate boss design, the way it feels to move, and how the tools in your toolkit all feel worth using and fun to throw out. I love the way this feels to play, hope you do more with these systems and mechanics in the future.
It's a shame you weren't able to complete more of the game in time, but what you have here is phenomenal! I loved the fast paced nature of the game and once I figured out more about the boss it felt less like it was unfair and more like I just needed to use the tools better. My only real criticism is that the grenade felt kinda pointless but the tone of the story and the incredibly well put together gameplay leaves me wanting for more!
You can parry your own grenade for insaine damage
thanks for playing! yeah i noticed most of the time when people played my game they just spammed bullets- i definitely could've incentivized people to use the grenade more, especially cause thats where all the cool mechanics are, but as of now it's mainly only useful for speedrunning. ty for the feedback tho! glad you enjoyed
