How does the game fit the theme?
It shows, as implied in the name strange caverns!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
It was my first game I made so I didn't have a lot of knowledge in C#. I mostly searched online through forums and websites.

Great game as a starter, you used particles and lightning in a good way.
also, it was fun seeing a world under deep layers of mud
great job!
Hi
This brings up a memory of my PS4 game, Steam Digger or something like that.
Very reminiscent of that.
Welldone for a solo game
Iam wowed by this, be proud.
Good Job
There is surely a lack of air control ! Anyway for a first game it's very impressive, good job !
I like the concept of the game. It's fun to play and dig through different scenes. Great work :)
Great concept! Love how the environment changes as you dig. Just needs faster mining, some SFX, and smoother jumping to really shine. Honestly, great work!!! :)
Cool game! I think it's an interesting concept and it has a lot of potential if well developed. A few things i would have liked were a better indicator of how much remaining time there was in the mining process and maybe less time mining overall and more time spent exploring and finding new stuff! Beyond the time remaining i would also add some sort of sound effect to the mining to better give the player a feel of how they are doing! Keep making games! (P.S. i'm being pedantic here but the game's page says RMB instead of LMB which left me a little confused)
I really liked the game! I wish there would have been some more things to do with all the ore you collect, maybe a x3 drill, the better light or like a "collect x amount to finish the game". The different areas all had a nice touch, well done!
It feels a little incomplete, but its a nice concept!
Hit box on button bad
This game is really cool, I like how the caverns like adapt as you go deeper (even if it wasn't really strange persay). I think what you should focus on next is getting the movement correctly. Moving around (especially moving) felt really clunky in the game and it made it difficult for me to escape places like the lava (that's where I died lol). Congrats though! I'm very impressed of your first game, good luck with the jam!
Hey I'm impressed this is your first game ever! It was a neat concept. I did wish the drilling was quicker though. I wanted immediate satisfaction haha . Nice work! Keep it up!
Good job It's a nice game.
Congrats on your first game! Being able to complete a full experience from start to finish is already a big achievement. The way how there is always a new environment the deeper you go down is a nice touch. The upgrade system is also a solid design choice to the gameplay. Great job!
Really solid and interesting game! Great job!
Congrats on this being your first game ever. Finishing and submitting something to a jam is a huge step by itself.
I liked the core idea of digging down into the caverns and selling what you find. There's something naturally satisfying about that loop; mine resources, go back up, sell, upgrade, repeat. Buying the torch to see deeper underground was a good addition, as well. It adds a bit of progression and makes you want to push down further.
If you keep building on this idea, adding some sound effects would go a long way in making digging and selling feel more impactful. Even simple SFX can really boost the sense of feedback.
For a first game, this is a solid start. You've got the foundation of a progression loop here.
This is a really great first game! Congrats on making it :D The biggest piece of feedback I have is that because you can move sideways once you've jumped, it is quite difficult to jump out of the mine shafts you dig.
Cute little game — keep going! ^^
I struggled a bit at first, then I realised I needed to press 1 to select the drill.
I think you did great with your first project!
It's a nice game. It's a pity that it's almost impossible to practice parkour in the game, which makes it pretty easy to fall into a trap.
Fun game, reminds me of the Steamworld Dig. Digging through the darkness was a bit tough. And then the giant ant got me :) I'll come back to this one surely.
Would you also care to rate mine? Thanks!
