The presentation is top notch for sure but everything after it not so much. After reading a few times the instructions i kinda understood the assignment but between kinda understanding and applying during the game there's a lot inbetween. I feel like making the game simpler period is just a lazy solution since a lot of thought was put into it. Thinking about a full game there should definetly be a tutorial going step by step over it and most importantly a ramp up of choices and difficulty. Keep it up!

I'll check it out in the next few hours, here's our game if you have time to rate it! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313109
Pretty fun game! Intuitive, with charming art and just the right difficulty. As others have said probably the biggest improvement would be to distinguish better between foreground and background plus some small UI adjustements. What can i say more? Animal crackers/10. Also if you have time check out our game!
Heya fellow UE5 dev, you got quite the unique game here. I think that the camera effect with the music created a very eerie atmospehere which is good for this kind of jam. Now, performance didn't give me trouble at all but i wouldn't dissmiss this solely on UE because even for our own game optimization should be considered carefully (difficult in a week, i know). The camera movement itself felt a little disorienting and i can see why it would make someone a little sick. As far as the gameplay itself i had trouble figuring out the exact goal or task so maybe you could add a little description to the game page itself if you want to keep the UI as minimal as possible. Also i'm not sure about interacting with objects because sometimes it felt like nothing happened. Please check out our game as well so you can give feedback to us in the same way; keep it up!
Very well done! While reading all the commands and tips in the web page i started getting overwhelmed a little bit by the amount of information but after starting the game and playing through the rooms the graduality of it all really worked: good job! With only one week it would be impossible but the game would definetly benefit from having different types of rooms to explore!
Very very good! It was original, fun and with a cool presentation so what more could i ask? The commands were intuitive and so was the objective or the power ups. The risk of staying out of the water but the reward of getting many power ups made for an engaging experience. I feel like that at the present point maybe it's a little to easy so there could be more things to hinder the player. Good job!
Will do! Check out our game as well! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313109
We would really love some feedbacks, here it is! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313109
I quite liked it! Switching between world was satisfying and when the invisible platforms appeared i despaired lol! I think that this really works as a base and could be expanded to even crazier levels. Maybe the only thing that could need some polish is the art but that's to be expected with a solo dev (i suck at it so i can't give meaningful tips). Keep it up!
The strongest point of the game is the visuals and audio; i felt really amazed by the effects the first time i inverted gravity so i did it a bunch of times in a row! The idea behind the gameplay is cool but i feel like the difficulty is way too high and i'm not sure if it's about the level design or the responsiveness of the commands. I feel like if you had a more precise control on your character during the inverted gravity the game would be more fun since the mistakes would be yours and not a byproduct of the commands. Keep it up! Very impressive as a solo dev!
Good job! I liked this one way more than i expected! The movement feels good and the levels themselves are intuitive and well done. I echo what others have said about the grey stuff not really registering as dangerous at all. I feel like the easiest way to improve the game would be to add some sounds or musics because right now is way too silent. Keep it up!
Hey guys! I've rated almost 100 games at this point so might as well cross the finish line...post it in the comments! If you have time some feedbacks for our game would be very appreciated! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313109
Cool idea but i feel like the execution is not there yet. The premise is original and the setting is creepy which, coupled with the music, works well. The gameplay itself is a little lackluster i would say with not a whole lot to do and a lot of repetion. By making the gameplay a little more engaging i feel like it could be a solid game. Also i felt like the parents were sliding a little to much and the father's voiceline was a little goofier than intended. Keep it up!
I'll rate your game, here's ours! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313109
A really nice idea honestly. I think that this really works as a platformer and the visuals themselves between the two worlds were pretty cool. I was a little confused about the green part and opening the door at the end but then i got it; maybe you could try to explain a little better. For the rest, i feel like the blocks were reeeeally floaty, maybe a little too much, or it could just be a skill issue on my part so take it with a grain of salt.
Awesome cool game | evil and intimidating horse. Jokes aside, very solid for a single person. The atmosphere is great between visuals and sounds; i also found the dialogue to be quite funny. The horse looks spooky enough but maybe it isn't as threatening as it should be. One thing that i would add, maybe some indicator for the food left?
I'll rate it shortly, here's our game! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313109
I'll check it out! Here's our game https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313109
Good job with the game! For being a first game it's perfectly fine. The gameplay is simple but without flaws and i particularly liked the death sound effect of the circles. As a post note...i am not quite sure how anyone could not understand the mechanics, i feel like it was pretty clear so don't get hung up on that. Keep it up!
i'll be checking out your game soon, here's our game! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313109
Rated and commented! Check out our game as well and give us some feedback! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313109
Pretty good game and concept! The setting is visually nice and the movement felt really good coupled with the shooting. I encounter a bug by dashing and jumping at the same time so maybe you should check that out. Also another part that should be able to yield a lot of improvement for the project is the audio design. Keep it up!
