Very creative! You came up with a unique idea, and the whole 2D - 3D switching is implemented well. The puzzles introduced every single concept in a great way. Only thing that could be improved imo is the platforming in the 3D sections. It sometimes was hard to tell how much cubey will move backwards, adding a shadow could maybe help. All in all, great game!
I wanted to try your game out for some time now, but always were on mobile when I saw it so... I'll use my opportunity now!
Please also check out my game :) https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313260

I'll check your game out, too! :)
Hey, heres my game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-15/rate/4313260
Feel free to give some honest feedback:)
Very interesting idea, love the art and music of your game. But I think I dont get it completely: I can switch colours, okay, and I understand that I can somehow kill the enemys of the different colour but... how? Running in them with the heart-box? Sometimes they will kill me instead, because they're too close?
Wow, thats an increadibly polished game! Played all the way trough hard mod, which was in some way easier to me because the placement of the parts was the same as before. I loved the fact that you gave every person an individual text when they get killed, and the overall idea was pretty good. Felt definitely in some stranger danger while playing :)
Thanks for commenting and taking the time to play through a hole loop :)! Yeah the hitbox of the spikes is a problem, I didn't know how to manually adjust them (they're used in a tilemap) so I went with the default hitbox, which is, as you pointed out, bad on edges. I was also surprised when I watched some other people play it, that the platforming was harder than I thought. Definitely something I take with me, that some jumps that may seem easy for me (as I'm used to how the player jumps, moves etc.) aren't for someone thats playing for the first time. Also shorten the levels is good advice!
Oh, and the thing you missed was a gravity cave where you could change gravity from +1 to -1 with different switches.
Thank you so much for playing The Postman! It was really insightful to see somebody playing it. Didn't consider some of these obstacles to be this hard, but I guess thats the problem if you develop every movement and are used to it right from the beginning. Next time I'll maybe lower the difficulty a bit. Hope it was fun nonetheless.
Oh, and you indeed missed the final screen - above the last door where the invisible wall was, the path opened and you could have jumped trough the window one last time :) But other than that, you saw everything the game had to offer.
The music choice was amazing, btw.
This was amazing! Just seeing the title screen immediately made me wanna play, such a funny idea :)
I also really liked the vibe while running. Only thing I would recommend is somehow make the character / obstacles a bit more visible, maybe give it an outline or use a brighter colour palette for the background? The strange backgrounds (which were awesome, btw!) made it sometimes difficult to see everything clearly.
I really liked the atmosphere on your game! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to beat it because of the lava - jumping part. That was a bit too difficult for my taste. Sometimes I wasn't able to jump up the crate because the player got stuck on the edge, same with the wooden steps on the wall. That should be the first thing to fix imo. Other than that, good game!
