As a lover of Clerks, this feels very true to the source material. In the movie, Dante is so easily swept up in the antics and emotions of the wide variety of people who come into Quickstop and it's through these interactions that we slowly start to figure out just what kind of a guy he really is. One of my favorite things about the 5 Min E games is how this is the way our characters take shape too. (At least for me,) normally you don't have a concrete plan for who this person is and you find them as you write about the experiences they go through. I haven't written mine yet, but I've got a vast catalogue of dorky discussions that I've always envisioned in a Kevin Smith movie and I can't wait to get started. Awesome job!
Also I'm sure there's no need for apologies to Kev, I'm sure he'd adore this! I'd imagine his only criticism is that there aren't enough dick jokes or Batman reference, but I guess that's our job to put them in there XD
I have never seen Clerks. I have seen the last half of Chasing Amy. I still liked this game despite only getting half the joke. I like how this game could be serious if you wanted it to be, but it has very overtly funny prompts. I played this game late at night and there was something slightly surreal about it. I don't know. It feels like the kind of game I would play at work with a friend while pretending to wash the floors.
Angel almost shouted with joy when she saw a Clerks game here lol. I'll admit that, even though I love the movie, Clerks didn't even come to mind with this theme! I'm so disappointed in myself 😭
My first set of prompts was "An official, impaired or unwell. They make me feel confused and respond with indifference. They leave because they're satisfied." I'm having a really hard time not making fun of the current US president walking into my tiny lil shop now 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The prompts work well, and I especially love your "apologies to Kevin Smith" at the end! 😅😅😅

Also I forgot to mention the game and stuff specifically here lol
I love the attitude on these pages. The "gotta keep working!", even in the journaling aspect with the suggested timer (so many companies want you to have an average speed below a certain threshold on the register...). And the prompts fit perfectly with everyone from everyday people to kinda "special guests" who enter the place. There's a level of stress like "please don't let this person make me feel like garbage" that's 100000% relatable after over a decade of customer service experience lol

I'm so so very glad that someone went with a Clerks game for the prompt. 😆
The mood and language of this game is super evocative. I like it!
The apologies to Kevin Smith made me giggle. I really like how you've made this concise and quick to get into, but the potential is pretty much endless!
This game is super atmospheric and kinda dream-like in its own way. It fits the prompt perfectly :)
The minute I saw the name and photos I just KNEW (and really hoped) this was going to be a Clerks inspired game, and I was not disappointed. I am thrilled that someone chose it, because poor Dante was the first thing that ran through my mind when I saw the theme prompt for this Ludum Praxi. “I'm not even supposed to be here today!”. As a person that has worked a lot of customer service jobs, I feel this in my bones.
I could not think of a direction to take this idea so I am glad I left it alone and moved to another idea. Because you did a great job on this. The 5-min format is perfect and I really love the prompts. All the combinations will lead to some seriously moody moments.
I also like that it visually looks like a script.
Looking forward to playing this soon.

You noticed the font! I was looking to echo the Clerks logo . . .
Mission accomplished. :) Seriously nailed it on aesthetics and content. I am doing some printing today and this will definitely be one I print out and add to my soon to play collection. I will even be using the fancy thick cardstock for the cover.

“Are you open?”
“Yeah. Someone jammed gum in the locks.”
"Bunch of savages in this town."
