Which theme(s) did your game incorporate, and how?
Players take on the role of a pig driven by greed. Progress and survival comes from collecting magical blue coins. Coins are recreated by a spark that must be avoided. As you keep collecting coins, your level rises, causing coins to come back more slowly making the spark harder to track.

Did you use any pre-made assets? If so, what were they and where were they from?
Most visual assets (character sprites and environmental elements) were sourced from the itch.io asset store or pixabay. Sound effects were taken from freesound.org. The maze walls were created by me using built in construct 3 editor (a square and rectangle combined). All assets are used in accordance with their respective licenses, and credits are provided on the game page.

Always love to see Construct games, and the fact you did something two player within the jam time is very impressive! Nice work, played very well!

Pretty enjoyable to play solo, but I can see this being really fun in two-player. Well done!

This is a great evolution of Pac-man. I liked the sfx for the spark. Before reading the discretion I thought it was an invisible creature that walked around slapping down inky footsteps that you gobbled up. Great work!

It looks really well made in a retro 2D game style. I especially liked the sound! It felt a bit overwhelming that you need to collect more and more coins as the stages go higher, but I think it would be really fun to play with friends. It might even be great to make it fully focused on multiplayer.

Thanks! I’m really glad you liked the retro 2D style and the sound! I agree about the coin collection requirements to level up they definitely ramp up quickly, maybe should be gentler or fixed. I like hoe the AI get better in pacman but that would be tough to replicate. I chose to increase difficulty by changing the rate coins reappear and the amount of coins needed, looking back I could have stuck with a fixed amount to collect.

I also think it’d be fun to play with friends, especially with some friendly competition.

Solid pacman-like!

I liked your maze design, how there were lots of spaces to avoid the enemies, but still some long, tight corridors so you have to plan carefully to not get hit.

The level up noise was a bit loud though, had to bring my volume down after the first one.

Great work!

Great game I will admit I kind of suck at this type of game but I really like it especially the music it got stuck in my head for no reason😭 🙏. Good job 👍 take a look at my game when you have the time

Great game! I don't quite understand what the frogs and the swirly things were, and i'm assuming those were ghosts if this was  a Pacman reference

Very fun!!! it does disorient me at the start but that's mostly because I expected pacman with pigs and the pig would move on its own

Fine showing.

It was a bit jarring to look at though. Very noisy.

Sound was quiet in some parts but loud in others.

I don't understand the significance of the frog things.

I also don't like that the character moves in short blinks instead of smoothly, and that you have to hold down the direction to move. It's so much better when you just tap once and your guy goes.

All in all a pretty decent game for the time allotted. Good job.

Feel free to play my game too if you can. I'd appreciate it alot.

Thanks for the feedback!

Originally the movement was smoother — the players moved half a tile at a time and would always complete a full step after releasing input. I ended up changing this because it caused issues when teleporting and the blink-style movement actually opened up the possibility of moving over enemies if you time it right without the invincibility.

I do like the Pac-Man–style tap-to-move, but i wanted it to be a bit different.

As for the frogs, there isn’t any significance — they’re just the enemies. I chose them because I liked how they looked.

Appreciate you taking the time to play and share your thoughts. I will check out your game when I get chance.
