It's quite alright, it seems you've had a busy week so it's understandable haha.

Hi, I sent an invite to your GitHub. The repo should be called observer-hubert/PigPen. Would you like me to send it a different way?

Thank you! It really means a lot to hear that so many aspects of the game are recieved well. I'm glad you had some fun playing our little game. And thank you for the feedback about understandability. That's always a big concern of mine when designing things, so I'm pleased it worked out in the end.

Thank you for playing!

Very meaningful story that will definitely be sticking with me.

I really like your interpretation of the theme and how you extrapolated it into a form that not only affects the game systems, but the story and core themes.

The visuals and sound were great and this feels like a complete experience with a proper beginning, middle and end, which is super impressive for a jam game.

Amazing work. Thank you for making this.

Haha, yeah. My group had some similar things happen on the last day of our project where we ended up saying "If it works lets not break it." Totally understandable game jam things.

The coin endings is a really cool idea. That'd really make players want to make their coins coint.

Ah well, thanks anyway, sunshine.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.

I like your pig. So fashionable!

Thanks for playing!

Nice autorunner! I'm impressed with how much obstacle variety you were able to get into the game while making them all feel unique, and challenging in different ways.

The visuals are very solid, and the double jump feels satisfying, and I like how you can land on obstacles to have different jump angles. And the hover ability adds a lot of depth to the jumping.

Great work!

Love this type of game, and you made quite a solid one, especially with how short of a timeframe you had. I think my best score was around 10k, but I'm not entirely sure. The game is really fun, and scales very nicely over time.

I did notice that many of the slide obstacles could be jumped over without issue though. I guess the timing is probably tighter, but usually I expect to lose when I do the wrong input at an obstacle.

But still, great work on this game!

Nice little platformer!

Pretty cool theme use with the food and happiness meters. I liked that it incentivized you to move quickly through the levels, and it makes each jump feel like it counts.Definitely makes the game feel tense, and like you're really dashing to escape.

An exploit I found: When you die, your misery doesn't get reset, so you can repeatedly eat high -misery food and die to farm up happiness, and then you can eat as many weird foods as you want without issue.

Also, I think an open door sprite would be helpful.  I had a few instances where I got a key and tried to go to the door it opened, but couldn't remember exactly where it was and ended up getting lost and dying when I'm pretty sure I went past it once or twice. But besides that, I thought the visuals were very good!

Great job!

Fun game!

Really simple and intuitive little strategy game. I liked the hit sounds, they helped make the battle feel vast as all the many hit sounds rang out at once.

It would be cool if pig placement affected starting positions more consistently, then I could put my turbo fighting pig up front to defend the weaker pigs in the back.

I made it to round 25 with this build

The basic pig horde approaches. How will you respond?

Had a fun time with this one. Great job!

Fun game. I like how fast the main pig feels, it makes it really fun to just jump around and shoot.

On my first run I started with the revolver and wasn't able to get any kills. I eventually restarted, and on my second I got a bayoneted rifle, which was a lot more effective. I'd recommend making that first pig give a consistent drop of something more powerful than the first gun.

The unreal lighting is always superb, so the game looks nice as well. solid work!

Nice little game.

Had some trouble seeing page 2 and 3 of the instructions, and ended up getting confused on how to answer the phone for a while, haha. But I eventually figured it out and headed on my piggy quests.

But very well polished game. Great job!

Fun game. I like that the game rewards you for remembering the recipes since you don't have to head back to the spellbook once youve got the recipes down. Although it would be nice if you start with simpler recipes, so you can get those figured out and then move on to more complicated ones.

I also had an issue a few times where I missed the customer and placed the potion next to them and couldnt get it back.

But I thought the art was good, and the sound made for a great casual mixing experience.

Great work!

Thank you! I'm glad that you liked it! I really appreciate it.

I'll definitely have to give your game a try soon, it looks good!

Thank you! I'll have to put it on my list.

Thank you! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it!

Fun game, and awesome interpretation of the theme. I don't think I've played any other games that used explicit fuel as the thing that everything costs some of. But now that I've seen it it seems obvious. Those are the best kinds of ideas.

But yeah, pretty fun little mining/resource management game loop. The audio really helps sell the "big mech crunching through rock" vibe

Very punishing  when you mess up, but I think it works well for this style of game.

Great job!

Fun game! I love the frantic feeling you get from trying to balance all the things at once, and its super satisfying hitting those long range corn throws in quick succession.

That opening cutscene was also really well done, and the art on the whole was very good. I really liked the character designs, and the corn growing animation looked very nice.

The gameplay did feel a bit RNG dependent at times, with hoping that you get a good farm layout on a run. Some farm layouts help a lot in managing the resources. A few big plots you can kinda just chuck the seeds in the right direction and they'll plant. Whereas many small plots make navigating much harder, especially when trying to avoid the frog.

I also found a bit of a cheese strat to win the game. If you just don't do what the devil says until you have nothing else to do, you can complete the game without the frog spawning at all.

Still, really fun game. Great job on this!

Fun little platformer.

I liked the idea of spending the coins you collect on double jumps, it made it feel good to land those jumps the first time to conserve your coins, and it's a great way to incorporate the theme.

The art was also really fun. I liked the idea of being a little piggy bank hopping around a household.

Great work on this!

It's that red pixel
🚨Rogue Pixel Detected🚨

Really solid work!

I'm a huge fan of that post-level score screen. It's unbelievable how well polished it is! I also love the style you went with for the characters/environment. Everything is so dynamic, and fun to look at.

I also quite liked the design for the levels! Falling and having to double jump after collecting money was a really fun concept.

Awesome job on this!

Solid pacman-like!

I liked your maze design, how there were lots of spaces to avoid the enemies, but still some long, tight corridors so you have to plan carefully to not get hit.

The level up noise was a bit loud though, had to bring my volume down after the first one.

Great work!

Yeah, as others said, I didn't really get it at first, but when I spent some time with it, I eventually got it, and the game is pretty fun. A tutorial, or even a description of the gameplay on the store page would be very helpful.

I also love the way you incorporated the theme in the gameplay of buying/selling items, and how you cant attack unless you sell. Everything really does have a cost.

The visuals of the items themselves were great, and the sound design was nice!

My best run lasted until level 52. Fun game!

Fun game!

I really like this usage of the theme. Having to trade your characters physical/mental capabilities for buffs is such a cool concept. There's a lot of interesting directions you could take that if you continue on this project.

The combat felt very nice and fluid, and I love how fast the player feels with the dash and quick attacks, although I couldn't always tell if my hits were landing when using the melee swing.

Great work on this!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! (The capsule machine is our favorite part too haha)

(^ My reaction to seeing such a cool pig)

Thank you for playing!

Solid first solo project in godot!

Everything feels very responsive and all the ui was very intuitive to use.

The chill music made it such a vibe to just plant and harvest the crops that I ended up making enough to have 2k in reserve cash before I realized. (I then made a fatal mistake and pressed the left and right mouse buttons too quickly and was sent to the "previous page" dimension)

A also quite liked the character design! Wish I could have seen those other cutscenes in all their in-game glory but thats just how game jams go.

Great work!

Really high quality stuff here!

I love all the talking visuals, theyre so well crafted. The story was definitely frightening, and leaves you with some things to think about. I also thought you had a really interesting and unique interpretation of the cost theme, great job. The puzzles were all very intuitive, and once you put the pieces together it felt satisfying to finish them.

Great work!

Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed!

Congrats on your golden egg! Be sure not to spend all that money in one place, or I suppose you should (gambling is indeed the best strategy)

The Firefox thing is concerning, I'll have to look into that, thank you for pointing it out. Hopefully I can get it sorted out.

But still, thank you for playing!

Again, thank you so much for playing and all your helpful feedback. You honed right in on some real blind spots in development, so your ideas are really helpful in any potential future this game has.

I really enjoyed seeing you play through our game and I really love the energy you bring to your streams.

Cheers!

Really cool use of the theme!

The game was pretty simple, but It did allow for a bit of skill in planning what to do in certain situations. The game was very slow though. And often there weren't too many differnet options to tackle a situation so the time it took to move around just became a bit of a waiting game. I think with some more strategic things to think about the game would really click.

But still, pretty fun game. Great work!

Uh... um... tomato! no wait...

I'm going to draft up an email for when I die that says " Hello its me, your [blank], your deceased [blank]!" That line is just too good.

Pretty fun game, solid visuals, and the music was great, and made me feel like some sort of pig action hero.

The camera angle made it a bit hard to tell what I was/was not going to crash into though.

Good work!

Great work on this!

The artstyle is great, and I love the dispensers of all the things, especially the piglet dispenser.

The gameplay was also super fun, I'm a sucker for games with tactile control systems like this, and I had a lot of fun trying to line my truck up with the road so I could go as fast as I could backwards and launch the items into my farm area.

I think the game could benefit from some time-based expenses though, like farm rent or taxes or something, just so you're incentivized to work quickly, and manage your time.

But really fun game nonetheless! Really great work!

Nice game!

I like the music choice, and the environment looks so pretty!

I think the game would benefit from a stopwatch though, so you can see how quickly you finished the track. I also got pinged by some invisible rocks a few times.

Either way, great job!

That was a lot of fun. I love how the swinging mechanic feels to use, and it allows for lots of skill expression and whittling down level times!

It seems that level 4 doesn't pay attention to the volume sliders, as soon as I entered, my ears were removed from this dimension, haha, but I did like the music before then.

Great work!

Fun little game!

The art style was so good! It made it very enjoyable to search around all the screens for hidden items, I also love how the puzzles kind of tell a story with the pigs and what they're doing around the house.

Really great stuff!

Cute little game!

As others have said, the movement was a little slow, But once you got where you were going, it was quite enjoyable to see all the little interactions. The animals all had a lot of charm, and the art was all so fun and cheery.

Great work!

Fun little game! Really great work on the terrain generation system, it's super cool to see something like this made for a jam.

I like the chill mining atmosphere, and that you can kind of go at your own pace (as long as you're keeping your oxygen up, of course)

I mined 10,000 andromeda crystals for the  Empire!

Great work.

I love the amount of soul you gave this game. The dialogue was hilarious and and art style was charming, and added to the kooky atmosphere. I also loved the little grunts and clicking you added to make it sound like you were just chilling watching my game. Great job on this! I look forward to swyn 1.1 or 1.2 when there are more enemy types, haha.

I wish I had sunshine to help me out with filing my taxes.

p.s. My team told me when I played to go through the blue door at the so they could know what's behind it. But now I know and they never will, because I won't tell them! (Unless they go look themselves) AHAHAHAH!
