This is a masterpiece, from the use of real-life pig for the player, to the writing for the narration and the "background noise". XD So good, I loved the whole experience here , laughing the whole time 11/10 . Oh and the platformer was good too. XD
Bro this is the best design choice I've seen anyone take using an actual pig was an amazing idea made the game feel so different I absolutely loved it. Hope u can check out my game and leave me a rating.
Great game. I enjoyed it, although it became a bit personal and creepy somehow. Reminded me of saw (some movie), lol. Perhaps you can do more 'mind trick' stuff. Features a lot of well, dialogue I suppose. :D My game ended after a green door, after that it was finished somehow? At least I seem to got stuck on the screen. In the first level I collected only 2 mushrooms (from upstairs) and was told I collected 3 in total during that session. Good luck on your semester.
It's a fun game, but I didn't think anyone would use a real pig sprite in it!
ts game has a ton of personality., the narration makes it feel like the developer is watching you play and the timing f the jokes and commentary really landed for me. The art style is weird in a good way with all the bg effects and such and the pig animations add to the surreal vibe
Gameplay is chaotic and challenging. The controls take some getting used to but once it clicks the game feels all the much nicer. Audio and voice work stand out a lot and give the game real character
Overall a goofy and memorable experience with a strong identity, excited to see where future games you make be ilike!
è letteralmente il mio rage game preferito
LAST RECORDING MY A**.
Very entertaining game. But I could not remember for the love of anything the positions of the spikes... So I think you weren't expecting 10+ deaths ha?
Edit: Read the other comments and... there are more levels to it, it seems. So I guess I failed at level 1 because it was to hard for me after a bad night's sleep...
Dude, you are a toxic little creature
It was a great idea to narrate the game. Some parts of it felt like listening to a developer commentary, which I loved. I had two truffles and died and as I was looking for the 3rd on my 2nd life, thinking I knew where the other two were, you chimed in and explained that they have random spawns. The timing was perfect haha.
I was frustrated with W being jump and space being shoot until minute 5 of my failing to beat the boss, when I finally moved my right hand to the space bar instead of the mouse. Problem solved. Old habits die hard, though. I also had slight issue with pointing myself in the right direction when firing, leading me to slam into an enemy or floor teeth from the knock back. I think without considering gamepad support which would be great, using the mouse X vector to change direction for firing, and left click to fire would solve that issue nicely.
Since you said you want to continue developing it, may I suggest adding some sort of feedback for when you or an enemy is hit? I think they may have flashed orange, but with trying to deal with the knock back mid air, I wasn't too focused on if my shot registered. Using a hit/death sound, or something additional visually like screen shake, a small animation, or bullet time right before you're character is hit would feel like a big improvement for "little" effort.
Overall, very funny game! Great job and keep going!
I love the amount of soul you gave this game. The dialogue was hilarious and and art style was charming, and added to the kooky atmosphere. I also loved the little grunts and clicking you added to make it sound like you were just chilling watching my game. Great job on this! I look forward to swyn 1.1 or 1.2 when there are more enemy types, haha.
I wish I had sunshine to help me out with filing my taxes.
p.s. My team told me when I played to go through the blue door at the so they could know what's behind it. But now I know and they never will, because I won't tell them! (Unless they go look themselves) AHAHAHAH!
Ah well, thanks anyway, sunshine.
When I press play, it doesn't work? Maybe it was just my browser? Ill try again later!
Very enjoyable game! The artstyle fit the tone of the game great
This was so incredibly goofy holy shit lol. Kudos for roasting the player during the boss. Up for jump and space for shoot is insane, and the hit boxes on the fliers was super rude. SFX and voice over 10/10. Overall score: capital "A" Art™
Super charming, loved the voice over the entire time. Art style is weird in a very charming way, reminds me of how weird the internet used to be on the reg. Loved this one.
This was surreal. The voice over was hilarious, and the pig animations were so uncanny. I loved doing a backflip every time I jumped ngl. The shooting mechanics were very hard with bounce back but the enemies were hilarious. This was great. Good job
Visuals: Inspired and fit the game type.
Audio: Really great stuff. You are the next great Justin Rhoiland. Hopefully not exactly though.
Gameplay: Pretty ass ngl. But I played it to level 3.
Overall: Had a fun time was super silly and definitely worthy of a good spot.
Feel free to rate my game too. I'd appreciate it
Certified Yapper. Absolutely my favorite game from this jam so far. I beat Enzo and I really liked the boss music. The graphics fit the vibe perfectly- the hitboxes for the enemies were a little frustrating sometimes, but it kind of added to the silly vibe of it all. The boss had SO much health, it took me forever to beat him. Before the boss, I was really hating the knockback from shooting because I would get tossed back into spikes while fighting the enemies- but the knockback became vital during the boss battle. I used it to create distance between us so I had more time to shoot him. I really loved the game and I can't wait for future updates!!!
P.S. Sunshine was genuinely horrifying.
The voiceover was absolutely hilarious, I loved feeling constantly judged throughout the course of the game. The pigs walking animation was very funny, and all the amalgamated models were definitely something to look at lol.
This is a hilarious surreal submission.
Shoutout to Sunshine for helping me!
Very charming game. Loved the voice acting and the hilarious small details of the mouse clicks heard in the background.
