i agree with the fact that smaller numbers would be gerat and maybe some info about how much clicks per second a upgrade is worth :D

Submitted

Nice clicker. Rather than having a big number like every x seconds, I would rather have a small number that way I know my clickers are doing something. Or at least some feedback to know when the next tick would be.

Developer

I actually realized this would be better when the jam was finished TwT
But, too late now ;p

wow, clicker! Haven't played them in a while..

Developer

Gotta keep the genre alive!

numbers go BRRRRrrrr.....

A clicker/idle game is very bold for a 72hour jam, i respect it. That said, there is not much to do other than press your mouse button enough to break it. I could only beat it with an autoclicker

Submitted

Solid base for a clicker. Needs some tweaks on balancing and player engagement.

News part is nice and overall story fits the genre. Good job!

Submitted

just a clicker nothing much, though the news is a nice addition that makes the clicker a bit more enjoyable

Knew adding the news was a good choice.

Loved the background music! This totally gives me Plague Inc vibes and I love that game. Very nice and chill idle game :)

Developer (1 edit)

Plague inc was an inspiration!

Nice game! I didn't managed to stick through to see all of it though...

Developer

Shame, but the start is a bit slow to be fair.

Solid game, but my finger is tired. Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks :D make sure to rest that finger of yours

Played (or better, clicked!) for a while. Nice game jam entry for this genre. Really liked the background music ... brought me right into the mood.

Developer(+1)

Looks like the music carried lol

Honestly, I'm not a fan of clickers, but your game is cool. In some places, the standard Godota font is used, and it's really ugly. The theme is well-developed, and it's interesting to watch the news. Keep going.

Developer

Thank you :)

Cookie clicker roll aside!

Feedback: (Only read if you want feedback) I (for the memes) got every possible upgrade even when it became inefficient and I enjoyed the short play-through except there were 2 main issues and 2 bugs I noticed. There was also a lot of good things and I also list the best things.

Biggest Positives: -Great background music! (It does stop playing after a bit though, maybe loop it?) -I loved the theme and how it connected to both JAM themes (also naming of upgrades was great) -Short & simple but good story that made sense.

Issues: -The click sound gets annoying after 500 or so times, I would recommend a softer sound and/or change the pitch slightly each click to avoid repetition. -Over half of my play-through was just manual clicking at the start since I don’t currently have an auto-clicker, a possible fix to this would be decreasing the price of the RAM upgrade at the start.

Bugs: -After purchasing the news I could still click the button and spent another 1000 units (idk what the currency is called sorry) -After a certain amount of RAM and CPU upgrades the price is greater then the win price, making the buttons disappear would be nice. (This is more of a QOL thing)

Overall you made a good game and based on the time you had for this I would give it a 7/10!

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback.
I actually encountered that news bug before posting the game, thought I fixed it but apparently it slipped through.

lol yeah I haven’t made many clicker games but I have a couple with that exact bug, easy fix thankfully.
