Nice work! The train was hard for me to see but have the particles made it much better but I still recommend making it a different color, giving it a clear outline or something. Also, play around with the display stretch settings so going full screen makes the play area bigger instead of just added a border (Project -> Project Settings -> Display | Window | Stretch)

Developer

Thanks for feedback! I've really messed up with the Stretch leaving it as 'disabled', definitely lesson for next jams!

What a great little simulation! I'd love a mode to place tracks and mess around in a sandbox, because i'm a little too impatient and keep failing on the same levels, but being able to build a track and watch trains smash and derail would be very fun.

Legit very good job!

Developer

Thanks for feedback! Good suggestion, I was thinking more of procedural generated infinite track, but giving sandbox to the players is also neat idea, thank you.

This game was totally up my alley! I am now officially ready to conduct passenger trains. 😊 A lot of others have already mentioned what needs improvement, but this was really great for your first jam entry. I did find a bug where somehow my yellow box completely disappeared. Not sure how this happened, but I thought I'd let you know. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for comment and feedback! I've never encountered this bug, thanks, that's new one :) I'll add it to the list for the post-jam patch.

Had a blast, was fun learning to get it right and have to be a conductor, though could benefit from some sound design and music.

Developer

Thanks! I really wanted to add some SFX and music, but prioritized other things to get things running. I may work on this project post-jam, then adding sound it's top of my list just after fixing all the bugs

I seem to be just good enough to get the job done... sometimes:

Great game, both in idea and implementation!

Good fun and powerful simple concept. I can see you iterating on this a lot more. Unfortunately I was missing audio and the screen only stayed a quarter of the size, but I got the game quickly and had fun. Good job!

Developer(+2)

Thank you!

Screen size is know bug, and for audio I just didnt have time to add it, focused on other aspects to make it fun.

Thanks for feedback !

this was quite fun! i enjoyed the skill curve

Thank you!

Simple but it hits the mark.

Feedback:

- The game window is like 1/4 the size it should be, and the tracks continue past it. May just be a web build thing.

- Don't put the restart button beside the next level button (I see alot of ppl doing this)

Developer

Thanks!

I admit I didn't put much thinking into game window size and how it would look on other devices. Tracks continuing past it it's actually on purpose, but full screen not working how it should it's not.
Yeah retry button placement is unfortunate now I can see it.

Great feedback, thank you.

Great interpretation of the theme! To add onto suggestions about feedback on corners, I think seeing the carriages lean out would help a lot although perhaps a bit tricky in 2d

Developer

Thank you! Yes it may be tricky, but good idea! Maybe if I add proper art it would be easier to show it

I would not be a good conductor. Long hours, on call, the union support seems lacking. But trains are pretty cool, travel to new places; who knows. Actually, I know: not for me. But this game is cool! It helped me come to that realization.

OMFG! This is so much fun… I like your take on the topic and simplicity :) I even gave it to my 5-year-old to play it and he liked it

Developer

Thanks! This comment made my day 🙂

Somewhat fun, I feel like it would be more enjoyable if there was some feedback about the "best" speed for each curve, or how close a train is to derailing, otherwise it became a bit too much like trial-and-error guesswork. I can imagine this being quite fun if developed into a more complete game with more artwork and sounds.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

If I decide to continue work on this project, that would be at the top of my list.

There may be sounds of wheels scratching the rails as well as sparks shooting from the train wheel. That should give feedback to the player; there may also be some additional meter on the UI.

Pretty interesting idea, unfortunately I encountered an issue where the game over screen wouldnt go away so I couldn't see the goal on some of the levels, great job on the submission though :)

Developer

Thanks for taking time to leave a comment. I've seen this issue and patched it, but looks like it's still occuring. Hope not everyone is getting it, as I cannot reproduce it so far .

That's good feedback , thanks again.
