glad you enjoyed it :) enemy spawn definitely needs to be tweaked haha

thank you!

thanks for the feedback. I wanted to simulate the physics mainly for the theme but that made controlling it a lot harder. I think with more time to overhaul the controls the simulation could still work, perhaps I'll give it a shot.

thanks :) yeah, I intended for the player to be spinning the meteor hammer, releasing and changing spin direction on return for more long range attacks. But I also found your strat to be most effective in my testing, controls needed more work for sure.

thanks! the controls definitely need a lot of work to make the player feel properly in control

Well polished gam jam! The concept is very nicely thought out and balanced.

Great interpretation of the theme! To add onto suggestions about feedback on corners, I think seeing the carriages lean out would help a lot although perhaps a bit tricky in 2d

As soon as I pressed a key and saw the penguin spin I giggled and smiled. Very cute artwork.  I think an easy way to add a bit more to the game would be to have fish spawning so you dont get fish every time you hit a hole (?)

Congrats on your first submission! As others have said you really managed to make a lovely atmosphere with the music and art!

yeah time is always the killer in jams. Will keep an eye out for updates :p

We really wanted to add some effects to eating plants, focusing around exploring (we wanted to make the map more complex) and yeah maybe some animals causing shenanigans, alas we didnt manage our time great.

Thank you!

Yeah! I burst out laughing when our artist showed the animation to me, really is unhinged haha. And we recorded our own eating animations, toast, cucumber and so on, lots of fun.

Thanks! Yeah there is a bug where 2 plants lead to the discovery of the same one unfortunately so you will always be one plant short. There wasnt any ending to the game so you didnt miss anything.
We really wanted to add effects for eating plants, focused around exploration (instead of survival). So some may increase speed, zoom out the camera, walk across rivers ect.

Thank you! I agree on the counter part, time was not on our side this time unfortunately.

Great concept and well fleshed out! Didn't manage to deliver the package but enjoyed the experience. I think it would play well that you are forced to amputate once you have no food rather than ending the game right away, or perhaps I didnt properly understand when food was consumed.

Sounds cool! Yeah time also caught my team :(

Finally a game where I can use my vegan label reading skills! Fits the theme so well.

Cool concept, did you have some ideas for different abilities you wern;t able to implement in time? I would have liked an attack animation to give me an idea of my attack range.

The animations are very cute! Cool concept as well, my main feedback would be having different input for consuming, c is awkward to press while needing to walk right, a mouse button would be easier. I got stuck on the level with the two boulders on top of each other, its a little tricky make them go where you want.

Seems to be an issue with jumping in the build? If you cant jump, not sure how to complete the game.

Nicely execute concept. First time I saw the Dino it was right in my face, so good job on the jump scare. Forced me to be more cautious in the next round.  Seems to be a bit of a bug in the first task where there isn't always enough shapes to complete it.

What a fun concept and well executed!

Wow the atmosphere you created is just amazing, all the game elements fit together really well and it feels very polished. The sounds were really good at creating the stressful environment. Definitely gonna check out some of your other projects

thank you for the feedback :) Yeah currently the Karma multiplies your acorns but we have some ideas to maybe make it in your interest to lower your karma ;)

Thanks! We've got quite a few ideas of things to add including some of those you mentioned :D By track options do you mean directions to choose from?

Thank you! I agree with the numbers, there are definitely parts that need some clarity. And thank you for hosting the jam! we had a blast and I really appreciate how it pushed me to learn so much in a week.

Thank you! <3 Tbh we didnt really do enough playtesting to know what a good score is haha. maxing morality is definitely possible, the meter should be perfectly horizontal but you would have to get lucky with spawns which are completely randomized with no fun algorithm or weightings

So its confirmed I'm bad at racing games no matter how simple XD
Love what youve managed to implement, personally my space bar seems to get a little confused been holding and spamming. Maybe a rythymish system could work well?

Nicely executed! I choose peace

Man this is fantastic use of the one button limitation, it doesn't feel like its holding the game back in anyway. Very fun!

I like they way you've implemented the one button control with the indicator in the corner, very helpful. As trptyk mentioned having them attack back would be fun. maybe you could also play around with having to use your spells in the order you pick them up.

Nice concept, unfortunately the controls are quite difficult to use. Even when just tapping the space bar the direction doesn't always change.

This is so stupid in the best way, I love it, especially the animations/art. I didnt have any friends around to test it with but I'm saving it for when I do. I feel like it could do with some incentive to slap even when your friends arnt turned around. Or maybe holding down your button could do a little taunt with a smaller window for your friends to attack, giving you a better opportunity.

cute! The music fits well, would be nice to have some other stuff in the air like clouds, planes, hot air balloons to have a better reference of how high you are, but I get the time constraints. Also maybe consider having the circus locked to the bottom of the screen to leave more room for the action.
Nice work :)

I like the concept, but its too hard for me haha. Maybe you could make it go right> up > left > up and then repeat? or make it change direction based off which wall you touch? just some thoughts to make it easier if you wanted to

Love the art and ambiance!

love the little sloth! very cute
