I find the game still quite challenging but I've got further along than I did on the first attempts. Without a doubt, it's a skill issue that's preventing me from winning :D Parrying attacks in a timed window is one of my weakest skills in BotW.

I really enjoy the feel of the world, the atmosphere from the artwork and audio. The UI is excellent. The gameplay is fun and engaging despite the difficulty level. I'm pretty sure that if you expanded this into a bigger game with opportunities to practice some of the skills with less pressure and wider timed windows, I would be totally hooked.

Super smart game. I loved it, even though I can't reliably parry in any game ever. Would play a whole series of these In Media Res Turn-Based Action Command combat puzzles

Oh wow! What a great game! It’s hard but so replayable! The animations are so good and I like the mechanics! I want to keep playing but I need to finish putting the finishing touches on my game lol… Well, maybe I’ll play one more round…

Once you beat the first set of mobs in under 25s, you’ll get a random set with an increase of mob size ;-)

My parry was early: a lot.  I got through two or three of them before I inevitably parried early again.

There's a fun game in here.

I improved the parrying windows, hopefully it feels more “correct” now

I'll give it another go.  I want to be clear: I'm the problem though. ;)

I'm really bad at this, but I like the idea behind it.  Also the art looks absolutely amazing!

So good, Amir! Took me maybe 10 rounds to really git gud, but once I had the rhythm, it felt even more awesome. ^_^

More games really do need vim bindings.

Developer

vim/homerow keyboard bindings are the best XD

Wow it's a very cool concept & the execution done is good too..But i feel the control options should be a little more flexible..it took me over 10mins to just clear one stage of the tutorial and to find out about the points system...and sometimes when i press any key when am out of points it took me to the dragon ruby debug section..is this normal? but i think the games concept and especially the parry mechanics is super accurate..And also Thank you for the toolkit :)

Very interesting concept on wanting to outlast the opponents that are unleashing a huge attack on you. I'd like to have more time to read instructions, or even just a menu explaining the controls, but with some tweaking, this project can reach new heights. I love the progress so far :)

Interesting concept. I like the art and I like that it takes a moment to block. I managed to block the arrow and the melee, but before I could turn left to block the left side attack, I get killed every time. Also you want to add some time in the beginning to read the controls before the attacks begin. Also you may want to set some other keys which are close to each other... Even with two hands, I found it difficult to press the buttons properly. Please check out my game.
