This game is simple but very interesting. I didn't fully understand when a person changed it's state but I still enjoyed the game.

The game idea is simple enough, it is about getting followers. There is proabably some advanced underlying mechnism to how submission and conversion to an ideology works. I just don't understand it. Please make a better tutorial.
when my team were having discussions at the beginning of the jam what game should we do, fashion wave came up with a very similar core gameplay idea but we couldn't figure out a way how to make it fun to play. well, you did!
I really enjoyed this one, got stuck on the very last level, couldn't figure out how those teleport gates or what work, but other than that I have no complains. I legit looked forward to the next levels and had great fun with it. I played this game before but wanted t revisit now that it's free rating. great job!
I like the idea and the execution! Nice job!
Would love to see more new mechanics like new followers types, abilities obstacles, etc...
The game's layout bugged out on the first run and I couldn't see half of a level at all. Fixed by reloading the page.
All the levels are great except probably the last one where you have to basically wait and catch grey guys on the other side. Seems a bit tedious and out of your control
thanks!
the last level intention to to have player lead his follower to the portals so they can be more efficiently transfer to the other side, and the other side is pure npc’s battle ground. I should have add the opinion leader types to the level, so they can aware the grey guys. Thanks for pointing it out
This is such a great idea. I really enjoy this kind of domino effect whilst still having tactical things to worry about by countering the enemy effects. I just wish there was more of it :(. Great job!
Nice one, simple but very addictive! It took me a while to understand exactly how it works but once I did I couldn't put it down, spread the word was necessary xD
It is nice looking, it feels great, audio is simple but it works well. Some music would have been nice.
I would have love some variation and new mechanics or maybe something that enforce a bit more strategy like being able to purchase some new powers that gives new way to propagate trough believers given some different threadoff.
I notices some UI issue with the text rendering outside panels, but this is a minor issue.
Overall very nice execution. Good job :)
Thanks a lot! There is a repetitive simple background music, the intention is to make it a stifling 1984 like environment. And agreed, more mechanics could be added like in communication theory, the role gate keeper would be interesting, and potentially devide the normal npc into different groups with different behavior pattern so player need to have more strategy when trying to persuade. And could have betrayers.
GREAT GAME. Simple but cool graphics! Good idea too. I was waiting for something more addictive after reading the comments but it is not so addictive after a bunch of plays, it maybe though, maybe with some kind of story or something. And at level 3 i guess there is a new kind of entity but it is not introduced so i didn't get its role.
Yo this is addicting as hell! :D We had a similar idea when we were brainstorming on the theme, but we chose another approach after all. Your game is very well executed and surprisingly polished for a gamejam entry, nice one! Thanks for your game. :)
I really like the idea, its pretty original, i havent seen such approach yet.
I had fun playing this, very unique concept and implementation of the theme! It's a bit difficult to direct the followers in some of the later levels, but in general the gameplay is fine too, I personally found it intuitive enough, though it kind of drags at times since the enemy AI usualy does not take much initiative. All in all I think it's a pretty good game!
Thanks a lot for playing and feedback!
I can understand why some players feel it's unituitive. multiple mechanisms are not introduced step by step. And the challenge of this game deisgn is distilling its core, while I'm not happy about its core now. to further expand the game, I could add more roles in communication theory like gatekeeper, facilitator etc. but these will only add more burden for UI.
Thanks for playing!
main goal is to position the player to maximize the speed of getting followers. the level 2 versus AI might make it a bit more obvious, but level 1 could be still too slow. Agree that the game is too abstract. I struggled to convert the theories to intuitive gameplay, it would either seems too complex or too simple without depth
