Thanks for checking out the game! Yeah 100% recommend controller. I’m trying my best to make keyboard more forgiving, but it’s tough! Thanks again!

haha yeah that’s a solid comparison 🙂

Love the over all vibes and art work, you did a great job! As someone who also did a very challenging platformer type game, I thought the movement was great! Seemed intentionally unwieldy in a good way I think :) However, I couldn't figure out how to get up the first spiky wall section! I don't seem to have enough bullets to get the high up, and it only reloads on the ground - am I doing something wrong? I'd love to keep going and play more :)

Last thing was I didn't see much in terms of the theme Waves, but maybe that's because I didn't get very far...

Very cool game, had fun playing it! The only minor feedback I have is that it feels like you get too many power ups too quickly (especially towards the start), and sort of breaks the flow a bit. Super fun though, great submission!

Cool game and concept! I had a hard time figuring out what the goal was / what to do exactly. A tutorial would be useful :)

Haha definitely was not expecting that ending. Nice job, fun game!

Very cool game and unique mechanic! I think it would be interesting if the rotational speed got a faster as you progressed (it felt a little slow to me). Also my eyes had a very hard time not thinking the largest circle is the color that would be used, rather than the little bar.  Might just be a me problem, but maybe there's  way to make it more obvious. But overall solid submission!

Thank you very much, I appreciate it! I do love your art style as well :)

Love the shooting! Fun game, although I couldn't leave the cannon, and the next wave never starts... I've tried twice and I get stuck after the first wave is over.

Fun little game! I enjoyed the different weapons. Would love a wave counter to see how far you get.

Cool game - I dig the music! Would love to see some mini games added for extra engagement :)

Thank you much, and I appreciate the review!

Yes totally agree with you that the gravity feels a bit off, and I have hopefully addressed it already on a new branch. This was intended to be a very challenging platformer, perhaps even a rage game :)  The goal was to be just a bit harder/ more technical than Celeste was.

Awesome game!  It's very polished and looks great. The rock throwing mechanic is a lot of fun / satisfying!

Thank you very much! I'll definitely go check your game out :)

Yeah I tried my best to make the movement feel like Super Mario Brothers 3, but it's hard!

Hmm I couldn't figure out what to do. You may want to normalize your movement, as moving sideways takes the sum of both directions.

Great game, well done! Had fun mobbing around blasting away. The laser mechanic was very satisfying.

Only minor feedback is I thought the movement could be a little snappier (maybe just braking slightly faster). Also it's a cool cutscene at the start, but would prefer to only see it the first time so you don't have to wait after you die.

Nice game!

Cool little puzzle game! Loved the core mechanic.

Cool game! Not gonna lie, I thought the objective was to avoid the blocks for the first 45 seconds haha

Makes more sense once I realized. Nice submission!

Wow, amazing submission! Having a ton of fun playing it, although still can't quite beat wave 7!

Definitely the most fun game that I've played in that jam that is actually on theme too, you killed it. I also love that if you're in between wavelengths it works for both sides, but is less powerful.  Also the song during the final wave hits so hard.

A few small criticisms/nice to haves:

- Not always obvious if you have the correct color (would love a "blink" animation on the enemies)

- Using Q to change wavelength forces me to take my finger off of A - so would be nice to have another option (like Shift) (edit: just saw the other hotkeys, whoops! I'm on a trackpad though, so would still like Shift as an option :))

- Sometimes the enemies spawned on top of me which felt a little unfair - although perhaps that's the incentive to stay on the main path

- Wasn't quite sure why I needed to grab the little totem things during Wave 7, and then they respawn? Couldn't figure out what the goal was there.

Great job!

Love the theme of the game! I did have a hard time understanding how to play. I was confused if I had to do something during the wave? Also the text bubbles displayed in white text with a white background, so I it was very hard to read (also appeared behind people).

Fun game and I like the color switching mechanic! The music was eventually a little intense for me :)

Very cool game! Love the sand animations and physics used. I couldn't get the upgrade system to work (just seemed empty?). Also took me a while to realize you can pan the screen with right-click.

Fun submission!

Very creative game idea! Definitely fun. Great looking water.

I did get a little burnt out on clicking the lighthouse, but that might just be me :)

Also echoing another persons's comment that the UI panel is a bit text heavy - was hard to figure out what everything was and remember the upgrades.

Great submission!

Sick game! Love to see more platformers :) Really enjoyed the art and fun mechanics. Only thing I wish were some different hotkey options on keyboard, but maybe I just have a hard time with  hitting X. Great job all around!

Cool art and game! I don't think any enemies spawned for me? Seems like some others had that issue as well. I was a little confused what the goal was, but seems cool! :)

Trippy game! Simple but pretty fun!

Cool game! Love the Sims 2 reference and the hubba bubba! <3

Cool game and solid intro! I think the crate should give you a little more feedback once you eat it - otherwise it feels like you should stay on it - but doesn't seemingly do anything?

Cool game and interesting mechanics! Overall had fun. The tutorial text was a bit too small and moved away too quickly.

Hey awesome game! Had a lot fun playing it. I think I died with 7 remaining?

I like having the limited ammo, and the store/upgrades were pretty unique!

One thing I would love is if you could boost via Shift, a little tough playing on a trackpad otherwise. Also I must have paused via P, and unpaused via Esc - but it doesn't remove the tutorial text! Ha I was so confused trying to remove it.

Great job!

Ah awesome, I gave your project a star to follow along :)

Thanks for checking out Sona, I appreciate it!

Thank you for the great feedback and checking the game out!

Yes I low key want it to be a rage game! haha Although I do want the game to still feel fair to the player.

I think you're right about the falling acceleration speed - will do some tweaking there. And a good thought on the plank movement too!

Thanks again and I'll be sure to check your game out!

Omg so cute! Wonderful submission. Especially love the art work and animations. The small details like the snakes eyes turning red are so well done!

hmm I can't seem to figure out the game. Clicking on both "talk" and "give" don't seem to trigger anything. Possibly a bug?

Cool game! It gets hard very quickly!

Cool game and I love the art! I liked the power up system as well. We also did a bat game :)

The sound waves were a bit overwhelming visually, and covered the entire screen - was hard to know if I was getting hit or not. Nice game!

It's a cool project and story! Although wish it had more game-like qualities - at least some story branching / dialogue options.

Hey thank you so much, I appreciate you checking it out!

Good feedback on the icy crystals, I'll have to do some tweaking - my goal was the icy platforms in Super Mario Brothers 3 :)

There will definitely be more to come!

Cool game! Pretty challenging although I am on a trackpad.  The resolution on some of the in-game tutorial wasn't readable to me, a little small/blurry. Nice submission.
