Wow, amazing submission! Having a ton of fun playing it, although still can't quite beat wave 7!

Definitely the most fun game that I've played in that jam that is actually on theme too, you killed it. I also love that if you're in between wavelengths it works for both sides, but is less powerful.  Also the song during the final wave hits so hard.

A few small criticisms/nice to haves:

- Not always obvious if you have the correct color (would love a "blink" animation on the enemies)

- Using Q to change wavelength forces me to take my finger off of A - so would be nice to have another option (like Shift) (edit: just saw the other hotkeys, whoops! I'm on a trackpad though, so would still like Shift as an option :))

- Sometimes the enemies spawned on top of me which felt a little unfair - although perhaps that's the incentive to stay on the main path

- Wasn't quite sure why I needed to grab the little totem things during Wave 7, and then they respawn? Couldn't figure out what the goal was there.

Great job!

Thank you for the very kind words and thoughtful critique 🙏

I designed the idea for mouse wheel first before horrifyingly discovering that a significant amount of game jam entrants apparently played with a trackpad >_< Lesson learned, never assume everybody has the same setup as you. <Shift> is such a superior option I feel like a dumbass for not even thinking of it!

The totems were a misfire, they spawn jellyfish every couple of seconds which can overwhelm you if you let them really get out of hand, but in practice didn’t provide much unique challenge. I ran out of time and energy and so shipped them, but in retrospect I wish I’d done something more interesting with them, perhaps a radio cancelling aura.

Wave 7 is extremely difficult compared to the other waves, I’m very impressed you were able to even reach it with trackpad! Another thing I might have added in retrospect is a “god” mode in the menu for people who would like to see the story conclusion.

Anyways, thank you very kindly for testing my game and providing such useful feedback!

P.S Sona is extremely polished and impressive, I’ve played over 200 entries now and yours is one of the top rockstars.
