Too bad that you didn't get an artist to do the enemies, but the sprites kinda grow on you.

I love that you can use the knife + the shotgun to do a mini combo! (Also thanks for adding a knockback to the knife!) The knife animation looks like the animation in Baroque (PS1 of course) and I really enjoyed that! The sounds of the weapons were really fitting of the weapons too, which is great.

I had a great time playing this, but I think this games suffers the same problem as ours where you can't really easily replay a portion to get a different ending (for me it wasn't clear that I could continue at the last stage so I got the coward ending)

Really great job! Nice to see another Godot game!

Ehem… I’m the supposed monster artist.

I was swarmed with IRL work and only manage to do one of the enemies they didn’t manage to fit in the game because of graphic difference.

The dev planned to do the 3D version of the enemies in the future as well so thats the reason they didn’t really put it in.

Please don’t look down on me, much appreciated..

@NobuNossu, not looking down on you at all lol :)

I know how things go and sometimes you can't really allocate the time for the jam... it's alright, as I said, the sprites did their job :)

I know it can be annoying to play from the first level to get the another ending. I should have made it easier. Anyway, there is a cheat code in the game, if you press F1 and then F3, you will directly go to Level 3. But you have to first get the gun from level 2.

Nice! I'll try that next :)

Oh and btw, please vote for our game as well! We really need it!

I really enjoyed this game in terms of gameplay, I found the abilities cooldowns and rythms to be carefully designed to enable a nice game flow that is not too slow but also not too fast.

I like the enemy designs but would have wished for more variety like a third enemy type perhaps. But the enemies we have in the game are very good I especially like the base melee enemies as they are not just canon fodder all because of their movement. Their attacks send them forward and force you to turn to the side and adjust your aim, they do not just attack you from the front and stay there, this detail makes the replayability better imo, so very well done!

I found the intro to be nice and moody, since we walk a long time and get to experience the surroundings and vibe. But later on I would have wished for shorter corridors.

Sadly I think the parasite theme is just in the name only as characters talk about it. there could have been done more on that end but the gameplay more than makes up for that! Also one laste detail for me the protagonist voice sounds a little like justin roiland haha. Anyway good job on the game!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. And yeah I think we didn't implemented the theme well. We did plan it out but due to development issues, we couldn't finish it.

I adore the pacing and how impactful the game is. And everything just looks awesome. I can see it even taking the first place!

Developer

Thanks but I have some ideas of what might will actually take that though.

It wasn't really scary but it was fun, and i love the quake-doom kinda mix up, i'm not sure if the shotgun needs an accuracy system though, it felt better to just run and gun than standing still from time to time to shoot them down.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Oops not supposed to be an accuracy system and shotguns don't work that way lol, they don't suddenly become more accurate. Good point I should probably change how it is animated so it doesn't appear that way, it's intended for movement/momentum which might get more mechanics.

This game is suspiciously similar to my idea, with just a little changes. I'm not saying that you stole my idea, but it just looks suspiciously similar to my game idea.

Don't act like two legends cannot coexist

Developer

Just because the concept is the same doesn’t mean you should put people down because YOU didn’t finish your game and we DID……

Even if we don’t have the same concept you SHOULDN’T be a dick and decide to ruin our name just because you didn’t publish yours on time.

Idea can be the same, inspiration can be the same. Don’t act like we stole your game idea because we have did this far more longer than you do and we even have discord to prove it. :))

Hi, this looks like the illegitimate son of "Doom" and "SCP". I liked it =)

really cool game! reminds me of my old DOOM Days! A dash would fit perfect for this game :)

Developer(+1)

Damn that is so true, I reused this same FPS controller from a previous jam that had a ground pound and I know how to implement this BUT I would have to rewrite the controller I used for this game to do so. Heh gives me an excuse to do so  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, the game actually has a shotgun jump ability as well but current levels don't make use of it.
