I love seeing other Godot games! The mechanic was neat and the sound was a really big help in anticipating jumps. The aesthetic was really nice.

The controls were rough. The W key for jumping is straining on my wrist. Also, while WASD is common and should be supported for jams, Godot makes it really easy to add the arrow keys as an option, and use of a gamepad. You could have up and spacebar, and the bottom action button on a gamepad all as jump options. And it'll take you only a minute or two to add that. The switches felt a bit slow in coming. I spent more of the time waiting for night to fall than I did jumping.

Well done for a first game jam!

Hey — I just played your jam entry and really enjoyed the concept and atmosphere in your game. The blend of mechanics and tension works well, and the visual design is engaging. One suggestion: adding clearer instructions or a brief tutorial could help new players understand the objectives faster, and maybe some feedback indicators for key actions would improve the overall experience.

If you’d like, please check out my game and rate it: https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-halloween-jam-2025/rate/3971977

— thanks so much and best of luck in the jam! 😊

This one is really cute! I like the floaty mechanic, makes for a unique take on a platformer.

I have to echo something another comment said, there are a lot of non-colliding background elements which look exactly like platforms which was a bit frustrating. Consistency in which assets are solid and which assets are not is really important for a satisfying player experience.

I did like it overall though, and it's very well-made for your first project!

Day/night switching mechanic is a very cool idea, floating at times felt a little unsatisfying due to its speed but overall a really interesting project!

That's actually very good for the first game.

 Mine was much worse :D

A nice looking and sounding game it was really hard to get an understanding of the floating mechanic and I found myself failing a lot thinking I knew how it works.

You should either show/teach this in game of take longer on your game page to avoid frustrations, all in all it was good but the fun feeling I had ran quickly trying to understand how to play.

Just meaning this as feedback as I keep learning things need to be made more clear/easier and obvious in my own games :)

I love the artstyle, very appealing. At first i wasn't quite sure where to go, but it all came together very well. Nice Job

cute game... not sure of the theme though, did we miss something?

You made a really interesting and fun mechanic! Definitely tricky at first, but once it clicked, I started having a lot of fun. I kind of wish you could make small movements horizontally while in the air, as I found a lot of times I floated up I would just come straight down. Overall nice job!

The pixel art looks really good, one of the best looking games I played in this jam. I would change the jump key to space bar

Submitted(+1)

That took some figuring out,.. I'd nearly got there on an early go, but then got stuck on some rogue bits for a while. Maybe a bug. But interesting mechanic once I'd worked it out.
Here's a run-through of me playing

Great job.

Cute. Loved the day/night mechanic and having to hop at the right time to get enough height.

Cute game, though you have a few errors in the visual feedback on the stage, some spots that look the same as solid walls aren't solid, and visa versa.  The ghost mechanic is pretty neat, though I wonder how it would get explained narratively.  All in all, I liked it, you might have a full game here if you keep working at it. Bravo!

Great art style.  Sound is awesome.

I can't get past the second platform. I would make jump space bar

Solid work.

Really liked pixel art and animation. Amazing soundtrack as well.

Unfortunately, One of features makes the game lag like hell, making it unplayable. There's this prolonged jump mechanic which causes fps to drop drastically :(

Would like to give it another shot if it's fixed.
