I enjoyed that ❤️, the idea was great and the story was there too, overall great game

Developer

Thank you very much <3

I really liked that the game has a lot of interactions. The sound is great, and the situations are diverse. You've really managed to recreate a fascinating experience of exorcism. Great game!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words :)

Very nice and fun game!

Visually it looks great, and the story is really elevated with the multiple choices and paths you can choose to approach the exorcism.

I really liked the tasks and little fights you had to complete, which were quite simple, but still interesting. I wish some of them had more to them instead of just pressing E, but it's to be expected due to how many there were.

The enemies could perhaps be a tiny bit slower or deal less damage, as they can quickly catch up, and there's not much room to maneuver around. Some kind of crosshair or indication would also be helpful when aiming, since I ended up missing a few times and dying because of it.

I love the specific path you can take, I found it hilarious! (Also, don't judge me, it was for research)

Sadly I couldn't correctly guess the demon's name, so no secret ending for me, but the other two were nice.

Very fun experience that made me come back to it quite a few times!

Developer

Thanks for playing and taking the time to leave so detailed feedback!

Other people also mentioned the mechanics aswell and we agree that a lot of them are very similar :D
I also think the enemies were a bit fast compared to the difficulty of the remainder of the game, so very valid point :D

Ofc it was only for research reasons :P

If you want to try again and get the demons name, i'd suggest you take a close look at the dialogs and see if you can spot any suspicious details :P No need to guess the name at the end, you can figure it out and know for sure, but thats enough tips :P

That was a fun game!
My control skills aren’t the best, so I made a few mistakes — but I’m going to keep trying until I get rid of that evil spirit!

Developer

Thanks :) Hope you managed to banish that evil demon!

The opening was really well done! Playing as an exorcist is a simple yet fun concept. One thing that could be improved is making the “Press E to interact” UI more noticeable. It would help players spot it more easily.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, we also thought about that, noted for next time!

Submitted(+1)

Liked the concept of an exorcism however bit more gameplay mechanics would've immersed me way more haha kudos!

Developer

Yeah true, some mechanics are quite similar to each other :D But thanks for playing :)

Fun game! I feel that dodging the plates was a little easy for how long it lasted since all you need to do is go behind the curtains and your fine, but other than that this game was pretty cool, it was also a nice little blast from the past to see those old character and furniture models again, good work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks :)

You are correct, we intentionally made it very easy so everyone had a fair chance of completing the game :D

This game reminded me of that legendary movie and a bit of the original Alone in the Dark. I liked the originality of the decisions. I had 3 endings, one in a prison, one healing Alice, and one on the roof in a small collision bug with the bed when it was floating, but the project is cool.

Nice, interesting concept.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Nice you were able to discover multiple endings :)

Very interesting premise. Actual branching narrative in a game jam game is super impressive. Execution could be better but enjoyable nonetheless. I know this one's on me but every time I see Synty style it just reminds me of West Hunt lol.

Developer

Thanks :) Yeah we also realized that a lot of the mechanics are very similar to each other but hey, its a jam game so who cares :D

We are both developers and suck at art, thats why we use premade assets :D

Submitted

For sure, that's understandable

Really interesting concept, playing as the Exorcist trying to save the girl. Sadly, I got the bad ending.

Developer

Thank you :)

This was a nice little narrative experience. Love the choice of name for the demon!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, glad you had fun!

This was a really cool concept! I like how you were able to make use of one room for the whole game. The flying objects was a nice touch. I think it could use more music to really give you that horror feeling to it.

Great job!

Developer

Thank you :) We actively decided to not make it a serious horror game but instead keep it more on the funny side, thats why we did not add too much horror sounds :D Thanks for playing :)

I would love to see this expanded upon! I ended up banishing the demon successfully (also, that name... intentional commentary, or a procedurally-generated coincidence?)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback, the true name of the demon was no coincidence :)

Cool game! I don't think I've ever actually performed an exorcism in a game before!

Developer

Nice to hear! Thanks!

Cool experience I enjoyed being Father Andrew in this

Developer(+1)

cool game! for some reason pressing ctrl closed the game

Developer

Oh, that doesnt sound good :( im sorry :(

Very nice game with a cool story, if you had gotten more time maybe you could have implemented more stuff because i found the room to be detailed but not a lot going on or maybe i need to play again and try some different answers which could lead to different outcomes, i ended up in the devil's jail and dooming London :D

Developer

Yeah we thought the same about the room, it maybe was a little bit too big! Thanks for your feedback :D

Very enjoyable. I played it through 3 times and didn't succeed in any of the rounds, but my different choices led to different tasks that I had to complete, all of them thematically authentic. (I particularly loved dodging the paintings and crockery--I never knew where the missiles were going to come from next.)

I understand that the assets are prefab, but they were chosen and arranged very well. The music was good, but I might have made it louder, especially at key junctures. Good camera work, too.

Overall, a solid title. My only suggestion for improvement might be that I would have loved even more content.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! We might should have been a little more forgiving with the damage the player takes. Noted for next time!

Submitted(+1)

I love this, Very clever story telling I went back and did all the paths. clever way of calling people out during james lmao. Overall great game and executed very well!

Ps. If you have time I'd love if youd play mine and tell me how I did on the horror element

Developer

Thanks for trying the game! Did you also manage to find the demons true name and therefore the secret ending?

Submitted

Nope,  cool that you were able to implement it (whats the name)
