I love this game! It has a great concept, visuals, sounds, atmosphere and theme. The grappling hook feels awesome and smooth to use. The puzzles are just hard enough and well thought out along with the level design. It would be so cool if it was expanded post jam!
Incredibly fun game!
What a fun, well-thought-out, and RUSTY game! I absolutely loved every bit of this, and I say that I would for real spend real-world money to get a whole game with just this. The grappling was very satisfying, with a good THUNK for everything I did. I never ran into any bugs, and every puzzle felt challenging enough to be rewarded when I got it right. Also, I can't believe you found a way to take one of the ugliest, disgusting, and most brutal types of metal textures to work with, and you found a way to make an entire game using only RUST. Incredible stuff. My only criticism is that there wasn't really a strong horror or story angle to the game. But honestly, I could totally see that being something added in later if you ever choose to work on this game further. Absolutely great stuff, and Great Game!
The gameplay was really fun. The grappling hook mechanic was creative, and the overall vibe of the environment was suspenseful. I also enjoyed the environment hazards. It added another level of challenge and thought to what I was doing, so kudos! I think one thing that could shine here is an addition of footsteps, something getting dragged on metal, a couple loud bangs in the distance, or anything similar to that. The game sets the scene so well and I think that could push it to the next level. I would love to see this game continue being worked on. You've got a great idea here!
Oh, please, rate this new one game https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2025/rate/3962987 nobody rate this, everyone must go from one game to another to be a visible...
I understand the trust issues. If you’re willing, you could run my game through VirusTotal and that should show no issues.
Wow, this was an incredibly polished, simple yet and immersive experience, somewhere between a puzzle and a platformer, very unique idea! The grapple hook is incredibly simple, immediate to understand and polished, yet it enables all sorts of puzzles and tricks. On that note, props for the really creative and clever level design.
I think this is one of the best games of the jam I've played in terms of general polish and clarity. I could see this game being expanded into a deeper puzzle experience!
I loved it, it's really a concept worth pursuing, you've got something here.
The 3Cs are perfect, it's incredibly satisfying to gain in ease and speed. The tutorialization is cool, the art direction works well (even though it only uses a single texture x), and the final twist is a very elegant way to end a jam game.
I've always wondered if it was possible to make a horror game with a very high range of motion, or if the adrenaline rush of fast fps would stifle the possibility of being scared. This game doesn't necessarily answer the question, since it's more of a puzzle game, but it gives me some clues...
Thanks for playing!
That’s definitely an interesting question, and one I thought about a lot while brainstorming for this jam. Initially I wanted to make a fast-paced platformer, but in my mind it just didn’t lend itself to horror. That’s why I went with a slower and more methodical idea - as you noted. The irony is I didn’t actually end up with any horror elements :) But, I think it’s possible to do something fast-paced and scary. I just heard that Ultrakill has some surprisingly horrifying sections…
The Most Fun Game I Played In The Jam So Far. I Would Gladly Pay For A Fully Version. Great Job.
This was really solid! I loved how you approached the puzzles and level design here to make sure players were ready for the next puzzle right around the corner. I'd loved to have seen more visual variety and horror elements incorporated, but I think you've got an exceptional foundation here. Thanks for making and sharing your game!
Good puzzle game with pretty cool hook shot mechanic! Loved the ambiance too, well done!
10/10. Great puzzle design and atmosphere. The loop was a nice touch and a great way to end the game. Great job!
Love this. Horror games rarely think of making movement a fun mechanic. I would love to see a game that expanded on this.
