I'm glad I got to play this game.
Very interesting idea, and gameplay mechanics
I quite enjoyed the art and theming, it made for an interesting setting, it was different and stand out, which is what made me want to check this out in the first place.
The needle mechanic was pretty neat, spiced things up for sure, I enjoyed swinging.
Game was a tad buggy. The movement felt a tiny bit rough, and I saw a block floating a time or two.
I liked the wall needles, spookiest thing the game to me. It's cold jagged metal against the plush landscape. The way it was used to kill enemies was fun.
Also, the audio, now you did point this out on the page, so I know you know, but I still want to say it. Everything other the duck death and the jump sound was quiet to the point I was questioning if the sounds really were in the game, or if it was just my head making them up. And this was with sound turned to max on the settings..
So yeah, not perfect but I like it, it's interesting stuff.
Awesome visual style, very good sprites. I really liked the needle mechanic. The platforming element is well done, but sometimes I could fall through the wall
As far as horror platformers go, this one is pretty good. I gotta be honest, I didn't understand the needle mechanic at first but I figured it out, I think its a little odd that the aren't any push or pull mechanics with just the bear itself since there are some blocks in places where using the needle wouldn't necessarily be your first thought, you would instinctively think to just walk against it to push but it doesn't quite work that way. The quietness really amplifies the alone feeling as well, I think It would have been cool if there were even a couple ambient noises of things happening in the background to really amplify that feeling of quietness when those sounds aren't happening. This is a really good game for a jam, good work!
Woah!! This artstyle is amazing. The level design and mechanics are amazing! Loved the needle grappling hook haha, congratulations on this submission!
This is great! love the needle mechanics!!
Awesome art style and level design / gameplay! I loved being able to climb up the ledges when hitting them on the sides and the needle mechanic.
Feedback:
- I thought the blocks you could push and pull could be more obvious compared to the enviroment. Maybe if all things the needle could go into were wood that would help
- felt like the distance for pulling an object with the needle wasnt consistant and could have been more constitent to help me feel more intertwined with the game mechanic
All in all awsome game really enjoyed it!
Very cute stuffed bear, great immersion with the intro. pretty fun!
A very fun game! I like that needle as grapple gun mechanic. Good job with this one.
This is really fun! Good mechanics, nice use of rope physics and some good puzzles. Nice job!
I love what is in the game so far! The visuals and style are polished and are a nice blend of cute and creepy. The gameplay is also very smooth and easy to pick up once you know all of the surrounding mechanics.
The only critique, which I think has already been stated by other, is the lack of sound. Having ambience and effects would really go a long way in grounding the game and actions that the player makes.
Overall a really great submission!
I realised that the sound is probably just a bit quiet, if you go into the game's settings you can change the volume there!
However, thank you for the feedback!
This looks so cool for the jam submission! Kudos to the sprites creator! very well done. I was able to get out of the map on level 2! Pretty fun but the last level is kind of too hard for my skill set so i might have missed a possible ending! Great submission!
This game was super cool! The thread mechanic is super neat, though I wish you were able to aim and throw while moving, just for the sake of fluidity. Pulling blocks could be way faster, too. The art direction is great as well -- it looks like everything came straight out of a twisted children's storybook. Overall, this was a pretty enjoyable puzzle-platformer.
art direction was a real strong point, looked cute and scary at the same time, you nailed that. the thread mechanic is creative and with a bit more tuning could feel great. I think its a bit slow to pull objects which can become a slight drag. I personally think it could benefit from some kind of a more apparent sound track, something like this. but that's more opinion, had fun with this one!
Damn this was a very creative mechanic, well done!
Perhaps the only thing, I'd pull those blocks faster, but overall great game!
very funny
gameplay for it small game :)Very cool art style, and nice level design. Could use some checkpoints and polish on the controls, but otherwise enjoyable! Also, FYI I couldn’t hear any sound.
I realised that the sound is probably just a bit quiet, if you go into the game's settings you can change the volume there!
However, thank you for the feedback!
I found the controls a lil confusing, but I suck at platformers XD
Aesthetics were amazing!
This was really good, especially since we're a teddy bear.
