it had a fun cute vibe to it, i liked the art. as someone else mentioned there was a bug when cleaning the pot sticker bug and i couldn't use the cutting board afterwards. there is a nice concept in gathering creepy horror themed creatures. then using them in a happy setting.

Besides not having a sound track, the game was really interesting! I would love to see this fully fleshed out with the different stages as you progress. was really getting into it learning about (i called her mel).to make the experience more enjoyable I popped on some dissillusion ST music in the background
The game had a great atmosphere and art direction. I enjoyed the story and even the jumpscare. my only complaints are that it can feel a bit tedious when you aren't sure where to go and end up revisiting an area multiple times to try and find out where to go. i understand it may break immersion to just straight up tell us where to go though. i also really enjoyed the shift from 2d to 3d during the shooting parts to help sell the immersion.
thank you so much for the review! glad you enjoyed the game, We totally agree with the doors, its been one of the more common critiques. barring the player from going back in was a last minute decision due to a game breaking bug so it wasn't implemented super well, something we'll update after the jam for sure.
art direction was a real strong point, looked cute and scary at the same time, you nailed that. the thread mechanic is creative and with a bit more tuning could feel great. I think its a bit slow to pull objects which can become a slight drag. I personally think it could benefit from some kind of a more apparent sound track, something like this. but that's more opinion, had fun with this one!
you nailed the low poly horror aesthetic and atmosphere, really felt like i was playing a legit horror game from the early PlayStation 1/2 days. update: Now that i've been able to finish the rest of the game, the story was 5 stars! not a lot of people who did this kinda game and also had a focus on a story, had a lot of fun and the sneaking to make it through some areas as well as outsmarting the creature was great.
some critiques:
I loves the camera angles you chose they really added to the game a lot but sometimes it could feel like it made navigation a bit confusing, maybe a minimap or an ingame map could help with this,
on the technical side, I have a pretty decently high end GPU, a 6900xt and it maxes it out at 100% at all times, so i can see how people with less high end GPUs might struggle to run this game. maybe its volumetric lighting?
As a few others have mentioned the timing of the texts was a bit fast. you could also just allow the player to scroll up while the rest of the text continues rather than force them down to the bottom. Otherwise though, this was an awesome project! love the aesthetic and the presentation. The chats were interesting as well. you had great atmosphere!
