Really cool concept for a game and overall really fun! I like how the moment you find the staff, the game gets a glitchy effect. The ability to check the window at any point is also really cool as it keeps you feeling uneasy. Only things that I have gripes with were the HP bar obscuring the screen and the final boss not having any health indicator.

The health UI window obscures the view, maybe that is the real horror!

A fun game to play! Although I haven't discovered the twist on the first run, the whole concept of creepypasta becoming true was good!

This was really cool, what an incredibly creative project

Having to keep checking the second window to make sure you're not about to die is a great source of tension - I almost wish you wouldn't give it away so easily with the knocks

Biggest gripe I had with it was the health UI, it covers too much of the screen

Would've liked a little more feedback on the boss fight as well. Everything dies in one hit, so it's hard to tell if you're even doing any damage to it until it dies

The twist when you pick up the staff and deaths become more gruesome is horrifically done, in a good way

It was very fun to play, and the pixel art feels so authentically retro, too. Great job!

I was a bit confused at first because I couldn’t figure out how to attack — thankfully, I checked the Itch page and found out how to shoot fire!
I really like the concept of discovering Easter eggs throughout the game.
I managed to find the Bloodlust Staff and even reached the room with the giant monster, but I ran out of time and died there.
I tried shooting fire at the boss as much as I could, but I’m not sure if that was actually the right thing to do — was I on the right track?

Thanks much for playing! You can shoot fire at the boss and kill them, yes. But there's even more you can do with the Staff of Bloodlust - maybe you could try shooting NPCs?

Well, I found the princess and killed her lol, I like how you have to go trough caves to find stuff, made the game so immersive. The mechanics and game art are pretty well done. Very nice horror game!

Damn this one got me good. I thought this was a regular NES game and that twist scared the crap out of me. Really nice job.

The art style was amazing! A special like for the slimes :3

This one is awesome! I love the art style and the overall vibe. The horror twist once you pick up the staff was really fun. My favorite part of the game was probably the whole narative of finding a hidden item. Like looking at the instructions in the real world was a really nice touch.

The only thing I would mention is definitely the health bar covering so much of the screen which is a bit annoying. Even though that almost makes it even more authentically retro feeling since that's what it was like with some games back then xD

Cool game. I like your pixel art style (slimes are cool).

i got both endings, when using the evil staff. idk if it affected any of them.
i enjoyed the game, the only thing i have to note, is the the health bar covers half of the screen.

I couldn't really figure out what to do in the game and the little instructions card seemed cut off at the bottom on my screen. But its a fun game and I really like the retro Zelda inspired graphics and gameplay. Being able to look out of the window is a novel idea. I'll probably go back to this and try to get further in it
