Platforming and movement is done neatly (controls remind me of some genre classics like Shovel Knight). The difficulty level is somewhat challenging but totally doable since levels are rather short. It would be great to give enemies (like hogs) more complex AI, so it would be more challenging to fight them

My fault the game turned out to be rather unintuitive :( Still, if you'd like to give it a try, here are some tips: wasd — movement, mouse roll — change active item, e — reading a book (could only be done if nearby light is on), LMB to use the active item, active items: torch — turns candles on, vodka — heals you (works only if you are injured), thurible — kills nearby bats and imps, chalk — draws a circle that makes you invisible to monsters.

I guess that the game turned out to be too difficult (and maybe even a bit tedious at some moments), the main reason for that is that I spent most of the time working with code and sprites, so I didn't manage to balance it (the same is with sounds and music -- didn't make them in time). Still I'm happy that the whole concept of the game seemed to be interesting, I'm going to rework it later, so criticism and constructive feedback are always appreciated!
The visuals and sounds are great, loved the game! However, even with the lowest value set for mouse sensitivity it felt too high, do not know what could be the reason for that

This book requires you to type "3" three times, "4" four times etc. However, this particular book has a bug in the browser version of the game, sometimes digits simply are not typed, refreshing the page helps with it. Hope that I'll manage to fix it and add in-game tips/tutorial, as well as sounds and music!
Hi! I've made a pixel game about an exorcist in a church. To succeed you need to type the symbols from books lying around. There are some items that might help you keep away the monsters. Hope that you'll enjoy it!
Although I spent most of the time bouncing off the walls (the controls are a bit difficult to get used to), I must admit that the soundtrack is really great.
