Mushroom man! Mushroom man! The single best song in all of the jam! The tutorial was good for onboarding players, but it was weird that it told you how movement worked when you needed it to reach the elder shroom. I had fun even if combat was a little awkward
I enjoy the mechanics a lot, but sadly it has a bit of performance issue on my pcand keeps crashing so I didn't get too far into the game.
I thought the opening sequence is a bit weird, since the Elder Shroom gives you instructions on how to move and interact, but you already have to do those things first to reach him in the first place. The visuals is fun, but I would have loved to see it more like a lush green forest, but I don't know how much I could ask in a 3D game in such a short time, so I enjoyed the visuals for what it is.
I would have loved to see some more juices like more sounds effects as well.
Really solid game! Loved the visuals, the blend of 2D and 3D works super well, and the evolving mechanic when you die is such a cool touch. The music also absolutely slaps!
Main issue for me was the camera as it sometimes got stuck or jittered around, which made it a bit hard on the eyes. The gameplay balance could use a little polish too; the boss felt a bit unfair at points (could just be a skill issue though, haha).
Overall, this has a ton of charm and potential! With some bug fixes and tweaks, this could be something really special. Amazing work!

The Squirrel!! is attacking you! yes its true, your my shroom, MUSHROOM MAN MUSROOM MAN.
Great game, looove the art. maybe a future light-hearted souls like in the works hmmmmmmm..?
I noticed the pickups stopped working, and i figured out that they are spawning but they immediately get picked without tallying the bonus. if your on the ground and look up at the tree stump top you can see which pickup gets "picked up" appear briefly, hanging over the boss door area almost. the fix i used was to give distance to the spawn area of the pickup by giving max distance to the Spread spore prompt and for good measure walking backwards straight away, the pickups had time to spawn and this removed the issue of not getting pickups. maybe its consuming the pickup and removing before it can run its code or something? i dunno but you should be able to replicate it!
Also I beat the squirrel but I was left with a repeating spread bar filling up! no ending!
I loved this game, its genuinely great and charming.
Great game really love the animations and bangin music
I tried to beat the squirrel boss but I don't think it is possible without grinding upgrades
I wasn't expecting voice acting, or the FULLY THEMED SONG! You can tell so much time went into this game. I fear "mushroom man, mushroom man" is going to stick in my head
Loved the homemade vibe.
As others pointed out it could use a little polishing and gameplay balance but the concept is absolutely there.
Those snails were loving that music! xD
Unique concept for a game, but could use a little work. Cleaning the matter lying around seemed to eventually stop having any sort of benefit (they stopped spawning upgrades) and I couldn't make it past the boss battle in the third area. It was also pretty unfair how you can't attack enemies without taking any damage. There's no way to dodge attacks or anything. The art is super cute and very well done, though! I love the style. Overall a nice, fun little experience for a jam. Well done!
thanks for the feedback! We were testing our final project within the last hour of the jam so ran out of time to fine tune the attack distance (because yes, it is way too short right now) but hopefully after the jam voting we can tweak those things and have a better game experience ^^
there was supposed to be a range attack upgrade as well, but again ran out of time to implement it
haha! That song and those headbanging snails will be stuck in my head for the whole day :D
Your game was fun and I loved the concept behind it, the song was also especially fun. I did come across a weird bug when respawning where i floated to god, and also multiplied. Overall really good!

Smart Idea! !hat squirrel is ruthless, I couldn't best him :( I loved the players setup as 2D planes that swap depending on the camera angle, there was even a top plane and the little lines to indicate movement and fallling were a nice touch!
This was cute, I loved the song, and the idea of getting stronger from dead matter! At some point I stopped getting pickups from the dead matter so I couldn't beat the squirrel ^^;
