very fun. Love the different difficulty levels. and the artstyle is very charming reminds me of an old gameboy game

Developer

Thanks, I tried to make it gameboy style :)

So good. I like the different modes and the art style was great. Really polished and felt like a whole experience.

It's incredible how the visuals are so minimal and yet you can clearly understand everything! Felt really polished, though I have to agree with others in the comments regarding the dash timer and not being able to look down, but I still had a lot of fun playing it! The music also ties everything together

Developer

Thank you :)

This game stands out for its creativity and polish the movement feels smooth, the art style and colors are striking, and the sound design ties it all together nicely. I enjoyed the glitch dash mechanic, though the timing could feel a bit awkward at times, and waiting for the sideways boost occasionally broke the flow. Difficulty options were a nice addition, but being forced to restart instead of selecting levels made experimenting with them a bit frustrating.

Still, the overall experience is really fun and impressively polished, especially with the small-scale pixel art that works so well here. A strong jam entry all around and since we’re sharing jam projects, I’d love if you also took a moment to check out the game I submitted.

Thanks for the feedback, I should have made the difficulty choosing from the pause menu instead of restarting. I played your game and it was awesome :)

Awesome game, the gameplay is really fun and the whole game is very polished (that outro was sick). It was a really nice idea to add difficulty settings, it made the game flawless for me ! I found it really satisfying.

The game is not really focused on the theme, even if the story is creative.

That's a really awesome job you've done here, you can be proud !

Developer

Thanks!

The visual style is great, I love the concept of being a bug in a computer. I am a bit confused on where the theme is meant to be applied though. The core mechanic is really cool but I find it a bit frustrating, it doesn't really feel satisfying to nail a jump or a kill with it but I do like how innovative it is. The camera also kind of contributes to the frustrating part as other comments mentioned (falling into things I can't see). The jump-pads were a bit difficult to work with as I personally couldn't understand why the jump lengths from it were so different.

Overall, nicely polished work and very solid visual style!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The theme was meant to be in the story, but I should have made it more focused on it. As for the jump pads these are my fault, because its a simple code that just multiplies the velocity, so when you have a bigger velocity, like when you are jumping or dashing it just multiplies it, that is why the jump lenght is different, I should have taken more time with it

Understood! I did think it was in the story, but I wanted to make sure as like you said I think a bit more focus would be nice. I understand the logic behind the jump-pads now that you've explained it but I definitely agree, it made timing the jump with the dash a lot more tedious since it was inconvenient. Still though, the game was a delight to play and I really like the story you put out!

Great game! Loved the art style with te green pallete. The timed dash mechanic is so fun. Good job.

very clean platformer with fun and simple mechanics! ✨
The artstyle and sound design was great, really nailed the retro vibe, though some of the movement could've been improved, such as an accelaration and decelaration for the left and right movement, that way it doesn't just stop immediately, it'll add weight to your characters movement, other than that very polished experience, good job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah that's a good idea to add that, it would have been better.

it is the best game i played in this jam. Game is polished, mechanics are creative art style look good. I like it!

Developer

Thank you!

Very polished and well-executed game. It was really fun!

The only nitpick that I have wuld be that it's a bit frustrationg not being able to look down, especially when there is hazards when you are falling. Besides that, the level design was really good and very intuitive to the machanics!! Congratulations!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, I should have made it that you see below you...

No worries, had a lot of fun anyway! We are always learning :3

I wish there was a save point, I didn't want to continue after dying for nothing after getting that far. Dash make the game kinda boring you miss the jump? okay sit and wait...  Art style is very good and all mechanics working. Good Job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah I only put checkpoints on the easy difficulty, maybe it would be best to have in the normal one too

Submitted

Your game is polished and I like the idea, nice!

Submitted

Fun game. Easy to pick up. The blobs are diabolical, I died so many time to those 😂

Submitted

Really nice game!

The artstyle and sound design is on point, and the movement is responsive.

I think that the normal and hard difficulties are a bit of a bait though, since there are a lot of deaths caused by not being able to see where you're falling. It would be nice if you could select levels and not have to restart if you decide to change difficulty.

Developer

Yeah, thank you for the feedback if I Worked on the game I would add a level selection

Polished and fun, Great job!

AMONG US! xD, i love games that can work on this small pixel art style, really fun and well polished experience

Submitted

It's a platformer again...Well, that's fine!

Submitted

cool game the simple art is nice. I agree with rusty though the waiting for the sideways boost is a little frustrating

Submitted

The game is really polished, and I love the art style for this! I do have to say, the glitch dash mechanic sometimes can be awkward considering the time requirement, sometimes making it difficult to get through the level. But you did great!

Developer

Yeah I know, but I had to balance it, because sometimes you would  dash to quickly and sometimes you had to wait, maybe I could have made it better...

The art style and colors look amazing. game mechanics feel polished. Awesome game overall.
