Jam
"Did you enjoy taking part in the jam?". Well, obviously, because I spent the last two week working on this excuse for a game :D
Working in low resolutions is always fun and a challenge, and since in LowRezJam the real estate is especially limited, there's even more fun (and challenge).

Love the graphics and music. The eclecticism of graphical themes combined with the upbeat music reminds me of Flash games in a very good way.

Really loved it was so fun to play

A funny idea well executed paired with a funny title. The gameplay is not exaclty for me, as I’m prone to getting motion sick, but could get through the easy levels without an issue, sadly starting the others felt like over my capabilites.

Graphically and gameplay wise +/- boxes and boosters are not fully clear first, so they could lead to “what is going on moment” but that is my bigges “issue” so far, so it is a cool game, rotation just messed up texts.

Audio is a tad to loud, please look into that next time you publish a game, just start it on your normal audio and you should hear it being to loud. Loved the sounds effects though and they are a nice tie in to the title! Cool entry!

Developer

Thanks! I found the audio level okay (it is reduced), but I'll keep it in mind and set it a bit lower next time. Motion sickness can indeed be an issue if you're prone to it, but I guess that comes with the type of game :/ Still glad you could enjoy it for a bit :)

This was so funny, I was actually laughing out loud when the guy was getting bounced around, the sound effects really add to that! Reminds me of old school flash games. Didn't get to see all the levels but might give it another go at some point. Really fun concept!

This is certainly the most AAAAAAA entry! :D

I kept messing up directions - an option to invert controls would be nice to have. But it was still fun to play, well done! :)

Great production, and a clever idea!

I kept pressing the wrong button, I guess it comes down to thinking about rotating the man vs rotating the world but I just can’t keep it straight. A “reverse controls” option would be super helpful.

This is definitely one of the best games I've played on this jam, I love physics-based games! This is just a lowrez-masterpiece!!
I was also able to find a small bug, I flew out of the map on the 2nd medium difficulty map because of the speed-up things

Uh curious. I playtested this a lot because I was worried this might happen, but it never did for me, even though I did manage to build test maps that got me stuck in a wall when i chained many of those boosters. Got an idea how to prevent this though, so I might just fix that in a post jam, just to make sure. Thanks for playing!

Amazing game, it makes me quite dizzy but it's a lot of fun. I like the detail that you also made the GODOT logo 64x64.

I'm just going to put it out there that this track is super fitting while playing this game: https://eprom.bandcamp.com/track/help-i-cant-find-my-way-out

Oh my god, I absolutely love this. What a hilarious idea, and brilliantly executed with simplicity and silliness.

I would pay money for mobile version where I spin my phone around. Keep up the great work!

Great idea to make this guy fall into the maze, it works pretty well... the physics of falling and bouncing in the maze really works, well done for this physics... on the other hand, I would have seen smaller levels and more adapted to the resolution.

Very fun! Reminded me of the sonic bonus stages!

I couldn't get around rotating the wrong way, I feel like mouse control would help a lot here. But that is basically a me issue. Other than that the worlds and puzzles are interesting and I really like the audio!

Developer

Mouse control might be an option, I'll look into that post-jam (together with accelerometer controls for mobile). I could also add an option to invert controls, if that helps. This is likely the same issue as with scrolling a document, some people find it intuitive to scroll down, others prefer moving the document up. Both make sense depending on perspective.

This was so funny, the sound effects are amazing. I think it could make for a really popular mobile game too in the future, I really wonder how it would feel with gyroscope controls. Great execution and a unique concept.

Super fun to play, I love the look of the little guy falling through the world lol. You can really tell its a guy flailing around even with the limited pixels!

I really enjoyed the game, it reminded me of the times playing Sonic Pinball

This was stupidly fun to play! I thought the gameplay might have disorienting going in, but the fixed background massively helps prevent this as the world rotates. The sound effects are hilarious and really great job on the difficulty curve introducing new mechanics with each difficulty tier.  Well done!

This game was absolutely hilarious. I laughed so hard when the guy went through a booster and zoomed off. Really funny audio and great use of the jams theme. Well done!

Developer

Thanks, I'm happy you enjoy it

Did you sample Homer Simpson? Surprisingly the game is not disorientating, good job refining the camerawork. I managed to get up to Medium Stage fifth level. There are moments where you cant preempt running into red box due to being out of frame. A restart button would have been nice instead of having to wait for the time to run out. Simple but polished gameplay and good effort with the amount of levels.

Developer

I could add a way to quit the game prematurely. Restarting wouldn't quite work as all levels of a stage share the same timer, you just get bonus time added on completion of a level. That's why it's important to get below par time, as that is the time added afterwards. If you're over par time, you lose some total time which is important especially in the hard stage.

i played this a little too long, i hope it got released with many more levels!

Developer

I just might :D
