How does your game fit the theme?
The snakes are eating their tails (like Ouroboros) and creating a loop, you must save them by breaking that loop.

The controls are hard to get a hang off, that made the experience hilarious for me (I may have thrown some snakes off-screen at godspeed XD). The concept and ambiance are peak, and the upgrade system hooked me up for a way longer time than I care to admit.

And honestly, what I could call a downside in other games, like the overly stretchy snakes and the short music loop, actually build up in the not-so-serious theme, so all upsides AFAIC~

Great work, thanks for making this entry! :D

Thank you so much! I really was amining to some goofy vibes when making this game, I'm glad I managed to do it!

this was so funny! really creative concept for the mechanic too. experienced some bugs with the menus, clicking play didn't work the first few tries.

Developer

It's a problem with the web version, for some reason the buttons clickmask gets offsetted but that's an engine thing I don't think I can fix

Fun game!

i thought it was a bit buggy on some of the menus, but apart from that great!!

I really like how frantic the game is, and the sfx add so much! Its super satisfying grabbing them and pulling them apart! Sometimes the snakes come apart, and Im not quite sure how to pull them apart when they are already free, and sometimes even if I stretch them across the screen the snake doesnt seem to care, but I think the jank is part of it so Im not really complaining hahaha. Amazing game!!!

Developer(+1)

Some of the snakes bug out because of how the game spawns them, but the game internally detects if the head of the snake is between the 2 hands when they are grabbing the same snake.

Some snakes won't budge because there are extra steps you need to do (for example, you have to blow the candles of the cake snake before being able to free it)

This is really creative, but its hard ! I only get 100 points on my second game, and -150 points on my first lol. Its my fault, i display the game in fullscreen, then hit the fullscreen button in options. It made the game zoomed out a lot xD
Anyway, i enjoyed your game ! It was fun

Developer

That's a bug tho, I'll try to fix it after the jam

Submitted(+1)

For me, the screen was a bit offset, but once I found the positions where to click the buttons, it was fun.

Developer

Oh yeah that happened to a friend too but I don't know why

Submitted(+1)

really original idea! It was fun once I figured out how to play. Good job!

super cool

Very original take! Ouroboros is a common theme this year, but I haven't played any game like yours! It's great.

Developer

Thank you!

Hehe, funny snakes.

There is one problem, maybe only for me: the mouse sensitivity is too high.

Developer

I'll probably add an option after the jam but it uses your mouse so you could change the DPI in the meantime (is your mouse allows it)

Nice little game and I loved the absurdity of the game.  Also loved the kinda clunkiness of the controls. Also really cool you added purchasable upgrades. All in all, I think you guys really managed to do a lot in the little time we've had, congrats!

Submitted(+1)

I took the subject of your game personaly ^^ let the snakes eat themselfs, that's how they complete levels XD

Submitted(+1)

I've had some issues to control the movements, but it also took me some laughs.

Developer

Glad to hear it made you laugh

Holy crap I read the title as “why are snakes acting like our bros” xD

First of all, cheers from a fellow Godot dev! I love seeing Godot games, specially this awesome.

This is really clever, creative and well made, I love it. Unfortunately on the tutorial the snake went offscreen and I had to refresh the page.

Developer(+1)

Yeah I had problems with the tutorial last minute because I had to move the entire game, I'll fix it once the jam ends (it's literally just changing ONE number 😭)

 Seems interesting.

So creative, super cool! love the stretchy physics and that you can buy different snakes with extra mechanics. A very polished and unique game, well done. :)

This game is insane and I love it. I've lost count of how many hands I have and forgotten how thumbs work, you evil geniuses.

Developer(+1)

LMAO, thank you!
