A very innovative vampire survivor-like game with good  balance!  Really enjoyable to play!

Cool idea with satisfying implementation! Congrats on the great game 👏

Very fun! I loved paper.io, so this was right up my ally!

Balance issues aside, the damage mechanics are quite novel compared to other Vampire Survivor games, and it would be great if some build upgrades were added in future updates.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words. We plan to expand on the idea a little bit to see where it goes :)

Really fun twist on the vampire survivors style!

I would have wished for more types of upgrades and enemies, but of course that's tricky in a game jam :D

It was also really polished, especially the drawing and looping effects looked super good. Really impressive presentation overall, well done! ^^

Developer

Thanks a lot! yeah upgrades upgrades! :D

found the concept cool but needs a little more balance and feedback of damage. overall great concept, good job :)

I liked it. While I found the concept of Vampire Survivors with an ink brush charming, afterplaying it a bit, i think the ideas clashed with each other. The enemies grew so numerous that you can't get close enough to close the loop any more. The lack of feedback when taking damage also made it hard to notice when I was making mistakes. Until I reached that point, I had fun!

Developer

Thank you for trying out our game! Yeah, I agree with you, after some time it’s almost impossible to encircle the enemies. This is due to balancing issues as there was almost no time left to address the balancing, and a game design flaw. However, we already have some ideas that might fix the design flaw and now with no time pressure, we can also try balancing it a little bit more.

Developer

Yea, its true, we have some ideas to solve this issue if we try to explore the concept more. Like giving armor abilities so that you can ram through the enemies risk free to close the loop. Also tapping more into luring enemies into traps you set up

The most fun game I’ve played in the jam so far. Killing a big pile of enemies is very satisfying. Mixing the vampire survivor genre with the loop theme has definitely worked well in this game. It would’ve been better if there was visual feedback when the player takes damage, other than just the HP bar going down. But all in all, it was an amazing game.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! I'm writing down ideas and bugfixes :))

Bro, excellent game, it reminds me little bit of Slither.io, but better. The proggression is pretty good, you can see the difficulty increases smoothly, in a fair way. When these guys started to appear I began to fail haha, very engaging game, congrats!

Thank you for the kind words. Glad you liked it! :)

Liked the both the idea and style of the game and it was fun :) The only problem I had was that there wasn't any FPS cap and my pc ran at 800 fps with 100 util for both my cpu & gpu. I would add a simple lock to 60 or 120 fps. But a good game overall!

I like the style of the game. It didin't run well on linux :(

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Well, I am surprised it runs at all, it was build for windows only :D I was thinking about making a separate linux build, but there was no time to make it and test it, sorry for that :(

I used wine tool to run it. Most of the time wine emulates windows quite well and some games run even faster than on windows. Probably unreal engine is not well supported there.

Liked the monsters style :)

We seem to have almost the same game concept! Really enjoy your art :)

Developer(+1)

uuu I have to checkout your drifting! we thought about making our game steery as well. But it was difficult to avoid enemies

Submitted(+1)

Ahah, we removed the problem by getting rid of the enemy! The steering is your enemy!

Submitted(+2)

Super fun! The only issue is that there should be some visual/sound when the player is taking damage, because now it's difficult to tell when you get hit. Also, I didn't see a credit for music/audio, you should add this to the page. Anyway, really great game, most fun I had so far in this jam!

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it <3
Ah thanks for notyfying. Music was done by https://itskita.itch.io/ we mentioned him in the game and forgot about him when writing the page :') . I added him to the game page now

Submitted

Oh, so the music was also created specifically for this game? Super cool!

Developer

Yes, unfortunately we have a bug that the track restarts when you collect too many exp points at once -_-

Submitted

Don't worry, it's still top 2 of the games from this jam I played so far

Developer(+1)

So we finnaly have the track uploaded if you want to check it out :D https://youtu.be/4M3lK6WZqfY after jam I'll upload a bugfix

Submitted

Nice, I love the soundtrack! You can check our game "snek" too.

Developer(+1)
