Very smart concept, i really liked playing it
I had such a great time playing this, and I played all the way to the end, awesome awesome submission its very polished and unqiue!
I thought this was just a good idea, and then it went metal gear 4th wall on me! shame you didnt squeeze in a colorblind mode puzzle.
also, I don't think I would have got to the end without the hint on the sound puzzle (as i couldnt hear the lava anyway, so thanks for the assist!)
Glad you enjoyed it 😀
Yeah, I think sounds and music could be a bit louder
A lot of people are going to be stuck on "spoiler" area. You should write the "whole" controls on the page and it should be Tab not ESC. Because first ESC just exits the full screen and nothing happens.
Yeah, I guess I should have binded escape and something else, like tab.
really like the artstyle and the visuals in this game. It is a cute idea however most of the levels don't really feel like loop holes. still quite enjoyable though
Thankssssss
Cute.
Wow these puzzles were creative. This was very fun and felt strangely educational, like I could imagine people actually learning some programming from that. Creating new developers making more games like this. Perhaps, you could say, a endless cycle of devs. Sick
That was the most inteligent looping mechanic, the best, you must win the jam !!!!!
Thanks, you are too kind 😇
(minor spoilers) Very minor thing, but the pause key is the same as the key to exit out of full screen (I made the same mistake too), so the puzzles where you have to go into settings are only doable when/after you've exited full screen.
Other than that, very creative and fun game!
Yeah, i noticed that too, but not figured out a decent way to fix this, other than rebind pause to something else? That's not ideal.
Did you figured some better solution to that problem?
Unfortunately, no. Maybe pausing can be bound to both esc and something else? idk
edit: or an on-screen pause button
I solved it btw, I think. I saw the #1 game in art category of this jam, and it has exactly that. Not that simple on Unity, but...
You need to enable click to full-screen in game page on itch. That will enable full-screen right away, (well, you still have browser bar on top and windows bar at bottom, but still good, you can enter full full screen with F11) esc doesn't exit full-screen mode. And in Unity build settings there are 3 pre-made options templates for browser, we need 3rd, then it will stretch game to whole screen. A "little" problem: then you can resize browser window however you want, you can make it extremely horizontally stretched for example, and be able to see beyond your intended screen boundaries. And Unity doesn't have aspect ratio support as far as I know. So I needed to implement my own, so I can force game to run at 16:9 always, with black bars. So it's a bit of a hustle but I was able to replicate the behavior of that #1 art game pretty close. I hasn't fixed yet my upload, but maybe I will.
Upd: updated game, now esc doesn't exit fullscreen

This is an unusual and fun game.
Nice puzle game! I'm so bad at platformers. Maybe is the age. Best of lucks!
Really good puzzle game! I loved it, congrats! Lovely art and great creativity.
So fun! The idea of the game is really cool! Love it, great job!!
I’m a sucker for programming style games. The puzzles were really creative and I love the meta element to some of them too. The pixel art also looked great. I would love to see and play an extended version of this!
We're happy to hear that ^^
even though the game was short I had a lot of fun playing! the puzzles were very nice!
Sooo fun!
I had a blast playing through your whole game!
Very nice choice of puzzles.
Well done! :D
Guys stop creating such good games
Impressive work, specially on the visual. The puzzles are creative, it was satisfying to solve them
The last code made me smile :)
Thank you very much. Loved your game too!
