Another boat game... there are dozens of us!! The audio and visuals are really good, and the game is very moreish!
Okay this one is dangerously addicting. The song unironically is a banger. The only thing that could boost this game's artwork rating is some kind of tileset or shader for the water and some kind of utilization of the cat portraits featured on the promo image and description.
This has a lot of potential as a casual game if more features are going to be added.
thank you for the kind words :)
i’m looking to release a post jam version that fixes all of these issues that i didn’t get around to due to time constraints
Yeah time constraints messed us up too. That's probably the norm for game jams. Good luck with the game, you definitely have something really nice going with this prototype, me and my friend were thinking this would make for a killer mobile game honestly.
Really cute game and definitely a satisfying loop! I thought it was fairly easy until I accidentally let a bunch of fish build up. I definitely enjoyed it more when there were a lot of them to make things chaotic
This is the better of this kind of the jam

A few similar concepts in the jam, but this one is really good. Cute graphics, fun to control, and little surprises.
Good execution of a neat idea, my high score was 58540, kept me entertained for a bit!

I really like the controls. It took a second to figure them out, but I'm glad you did them this way. It makes me do a bit more thinking
The mechanics were simple to learn and I had a lot of fun catching fish! Getting 2 health after rescuing a cat felt rewarding. However, steering at times was hard to control at times. Nevertheless, great work! Cats are awesome!
Very creative, controls are a bit uncomfortable at times

thumbnail reminds me of super cat tales, super cute! Also, gameplay is very creative and fun!
This is a very creative take on the theme! I also love the cats so much <33333333333
The fishing mechanic is genius, it's really fun to optimize the biggest possible catch! Perfect fit for the jam's theme too. Rescuing cats to regain health is also a great addition. I got 57k on my first run.
cute! i like the cats as lives and that you have to loop them to get the life back - thats real neat!
Pawsitively good! Cute art style as well 😸
The cutest game so far! 5 cat's paws!
so very cute : ] love the art and music, and the gameplay was super fun .
Fun concept with a satisfying gameplay loop but unfortunately a few issues. The usage of arrow keys was a bit frustrating as someone with a 60% keyboard had to hold down the function key the whole time, the art of the cats and the fish were done pretty well but that's kinda where the artistic flourish ends, would have been nice to see some differences in the ocean instead of just constant blue and the soundtrack does sound nice but without the inclusion of a volume slider or any variation in the soundtrack it does get a bit repetitive. All in all, lovely little experience and despite all the downfalls due to time restraints, fun game!
oh no, it briefly crossed my mind that some keyboards didn’t have arrow keys but it slipped my mind when it came time to add it, sorry to hear that :( and yeah i definitely wanted to add a volume slider but was short on time
thanks for playing!
No worries!! I came to realise after playing more games it's a lot more of a common issue than I had first thought so I'm sorry for going off on you TnT. Also the time constraints are so valid I'm impressed with the amount you were able to get done!!
