Nice dark turn you got there! What I think could be nice if you added some linear progression like cards getting higher values, maybe you add jack, queen, king, ace and jokers maybe. you could have them arranged on the board, some only appear sometimes. You could periodically change the position of arrangement of the cards, because I found myself always choosing the card:10 and then shooting the dice straight upwards.  This could add some variety Also instead of typing the card value that I want to choose each time, I would have preferred to just click on the card that I bet on, then it could glow to let me know that it is selected.

Also I think wagers or bets could be really nice: so instead of only betting on which card you will hit with your dice, you also bet an amount of money like 10 $ or even 500 $, depending on your wager your win is also double that. You could also have the number on the dice be a win multiplier, so if you roll a 6 is better than a 1 and so on. This would have been out of scope for the jam but still, if you choose to keep working on it! Sadly I disliked the AI art with the messed up dices, I get it but there are still so many resources that are not generative AI like royalty free image galleries, for instance: https://pixabay.com/images/search/casino/

All in all I love me some gambling taking a dark turn games, if you make the gambling more engaging and well... gamble-y then it hits way more! Make sure to check out our game too, cheers!

Hi, thanks for your review. Yes, i am aware there were a lot of missing things in there to make the game more fun of somewhat, but since this is a jam of 4 days. I have no idea how casino games work or their rules, it would have been hard both to develop or understand their rules, so i chose a kind of simple, easier to understand game and gave it my own rules. On a longer development time, then yes, more polish and features could be added to make a more fun, engaging game. thx for playing. btw, it's not AI art, it's just textures I found online since i didn't have time or skills to make the art. I tried to find some but none could match what I needed.

Simple but effective. The game was a little too big on my screen for the web build, but maybe that's just me. Overall very nice work!

feeding into my gambling addiction for sure haha. great work!!

Neat concept, I think something with a bit more variety from round to round would help to sell the addicting nature more.

addictive game, but i think i got stucked? i played till round 50+ and got -1000000$

Developer

Yes, you're stuck in a loop

It's really hard, the dice can just roll on the table sometimes ! Maybe I missed a feature. But the idea is good, sadly I couldn't do the score 40

unique idea but could do with way to track score or shake it up a bit such as numbers moving between rounds.

Very nice and addictive! I just suggest to resize the window with the screen size because playing with a little monitor is complicated (must scroll).

Neat game - I think a target could help convince players to stick around to the later rounds.

A nice fun game! I suggest for the WebGL build to set the canvas scaler to 0.5 and in the project settings, the dimensions - 960 x 540.  It allows a windowed view as well an option of full screen. Congratulations on building a fun game alone in 4 days!

Those dice in the game art look very much AI generated to me ^^  I think I didn't quite understand the game, you pick a card number but the card positions never change and you throw a dice to land on those cards ?

Hi there, glad you played the game. And no, it's not AI-generated, it's just textures I found online cause I had no time or skills to create art, and the game is about something deeper than that. If you reached round 40, you will understand. Thanks for playing

I love your take on the theme LOLOLOL great job!!
"Enter your real name" was a great touch to the game in the beginning. Made the whole gambling thing feel more serious and real 😭
