Nice! Had some cool puzzles, and I thought the art style was really nice too. Some subtle background music and lighter sound SFX would take it up to the next level. Good entry!
Solid level design and beautiful visuals. Some puzzles were pretty tough to figure out, but still fun. Great job!
really cool puzzle game. Lovely art too lol!
This was a fun take on the theme! Using your past self as a platform/barrier was really smart. Apparently my brain isn’t big enough for this game though, because I got stuck on the first laser level. The art looks great, and I love the touches with the lighting. Also the main menu “waaaah”. Great job!
This was such a fun puzzle platformer! Great job!
feel very much like a game i would have played back in the windows XP era, killer job!
Nice concept, I got some retro PC platformers vibes
The level design is cool
That last level is a doozy but a fun puzzle to get through. Cool execution the mechanic! Good Job!
fun platformer
Nice concept and great execution. Visuals and game feel are spot on as well as level design.
I didn't struggle passing the levels but it did feel a bit punishing at times.
PS. Never would have imagined that this is a first time submission to a game jam, especially with an entry so polished and complete. Great job!
Ty, altough im inclined to say that me and my teammate are both 2nd year game design students, so we arent completely new to making games lol. But even then it was definetely a very fun first experience in a jam. Thanks for the support!
Really fun platformer, i enjoy thinking about my strategy for a level beforehand rather than trying to brute-force it, this game is perfect for that. I think it could be a little faster cause I often made small mistakes at the end that caused me to have to restart the whole level from the beginning xD
The levelm design was so good and well thought out for such a short amount of time! Each level felt great. My biggest issue was that in some of them - one mistake even late into the puzzle meant I had to restart the whole thing. It was very punishing. The audio was a little rough, but overall a great game.
A great puzzle game that's fun to play! Really great!
Great Puzzle game, creative use of previous body as platform!
Push the Boulder!
Nice loop interpretation :) Unfortunately, I got stuck on the first laser level- didn't find a way to block that button...
Some music would definitely make it rock more!
Overall: ★★★★☆
Creativity ★★★★☆
Loved the concept, taking one start cause I believe (or at least I hope) I will see even better theme incorporations. Leaving head as an artifact of a previous run is a great idea (and keeping its physics is even better, but that's in the next part)
Enjoyment★★★★★
Probably the best game mechanic-wise in the jam I've seen so far. Challenging but fair puzzles that make you think of many different ways you can use heads (and trying to get what's the correct order). Would love to see few more levels with this base mechanic (plus I believe it's quite expandable), so guys if you wait for sign whether you should work on a release version, you will have at least one buyer:D
Narrative ☆☆☆☆☆
Leaving empty as there is no narrative
Artwork ★★★☆ ☆
Art is simple but pleasing to look at, work well with the game
Audio ★★☆☆☆
Would love some subtle BGM, lasers and UGH get a bit annoying in the silence
Thanks!
Would love to see more levels! Really solid submission!
I think there are some ways to clear the puzzle that are not as intended, cool!
I like the jump feeling and smart puzzles. Good job!
It's so smart to let players make use of the dying strategies, to rather return your died body or use it as a helper. Love the creativity and the SFX while sisyphus died.
