How does your game fit the theme?
Our implementation of the Loop theme revolved around two main elements. The first is our "WALL" which goes from left to right ot reveal a level and you loop this to finish the game. The second is the ability for the player to loop themselves around the level using the doors at the left and right side of the screen.

sorry I didnt get to rate this, but as a fellow divider game, I approve and would have given it 10/10

Appreciate it. Didn't mention it in my review but I really like that your game had such good feedback when hitting the goal. Brainstormed a bit about how to fix your issue with moving the divider and getting the character stuck in the terrain that appears but got nothing. Its a difficult issue.

the collisions are strange but is still a good game with amazing art

Submitted

A little buggy but still pretty cool as I do enjoy physics based puzzle platformers.

Submitted

Very cool idea, but the movement/items and pickup implementation is a little buggy and floaty. I think with improvements on the basic feel of the game you would have quite a great game on your hands!

Submitted

Easy to grasp and get into, Really fun!

Submitted

Very interesting game! The idea is simple but well executed, sometimes the collisions are a bit jank but it was fun to play regardless! I love the simplistic art and good job on the game!!

Encountered some bugs like getting stuck, but still I think it's very creative game, I liked the purple wall's effect of changing the room, which is something I still haven't seen in this jam, and I also liked the looping mechanic to resolve the puzzles, good job!

Very unique take on the loop around the level mechanic! The wall definitely adds another dimension to the puzzle design.  I also love throwing items around, its so fun!

If possible, please consider rating my game too.

Very nice and challenging, I really enjoyed the bouncepads and the final spear climb. The only thing is that the player weirdly clings to the wall when pressing against it, which sometimes makes it really difficult to perform higher jumps. But the rest is great!

DeveloperSubmitted

Definitely agree that the platforming mechanic could be improved. Got caught up implementing the throwing and overlapping levels/wall mechanics for most of the jam.

This is a great idea for a game and the art really lent itself well to it. I did find the controls a little floaty and also found a few bugs here and there which let me endlessly walk up walls I wasn't supposed to but, hey, if the Elder Scrolls can get away with it, then who am I to complain here? Either way, i had a great time and would love to see more content in the future.

Developer

Thanks for the great review, really appreciate you had fun with it! Lots of bugs exist for sure, we really hope to iron those out post jam to have a nicer experience, and who knows, maybe we add more levels / story!

A lot of interesting ideas here! My spear mysteriously disappeared, but thankfully I figured out an alternative way to climb 😎 image.png

Developer

Wow, I didnt even know you could get up there! Truly impressive XD. Outside the box thinking

Developer

Absolute GIGABEAST. And I thought that making the character moonwalk was the coolest exploit lol

I really enjoyed the idea of moving the wall to access different parts of the level. I did find a little bug where you can get stuck behind the right portal on the second floor of the first level if the divider is pushed to the left, but overall, it's a cool game! The music was also really nice!

Developer

Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed. Thanks for pointing it out, we will definitely look at fixing that post jam!

Nice concept! I like the monotone and simplistic art. The ending climb up the wall was a bit difficult because the spears sometimes didnt stick on the side I wanted them to go through. Anyway, decent game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed the art it was really fun to draw! Yeah the spears do sometimes seem to bounce off or go thru, maybe we need to tinker with the settings

I like the idea but couldn't figure out how to get the bomb to the red wall.  Kept going through the portal when I didn't want to.  Art is great and simple.  Movement felt pretty good.

DeveloperSubmitted

You can throw items through the wall, and the bomb only ignites after passing through the wall. Hopefully that helps.

hmmm interesting puzzle game got stuck in the first level for half an hour XD

Developer

Been there too during development XD

Interesting idea and runs pretty good!

Love the art direction and the audios workingtogether it's very solid, the camera is a little bit sickly with how it follows the player might need some smoothing on that - controls very well and enjoyed pulling aroun the dividers of the wall!

I'm a bit lost on the loop part, I got a bit stuck so it may appear later but a great play!

Well done!

Developer

Thanks for giving it a go and Im glad you enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun with the art so glad you liked it. Those are some solid points to be fair, our premise was super complicated initially so the loop part mainly came with looping from left to right to finish the game. Wish we had more time for more levels to showcase this

I really enjoyed the idea of the game, and think with a tad bit more polish, it could be one of the best

Developer

We appreciate the kind words!

I thought the idea of moving the wall to change the level was interesting . A few minor changes to the character movement could make this game really good

Developer

Thanks for playing :)

Very cool game. Lots of controls, wondering if there is potentially a better way of teaching the player these over text.

I would say this game would become even better if it had more animations, but I mean this is for a 4 day game jam.

I enjoyed it.

Developer

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed. Wish we had more time for animations, would be super fun! The text was really a last effort to tell the player what to do without just a text slide, if we could I would prefer a proper tutorial

If the areas of interaction were a bit polished it would make this game EXCELENT. The premisse is very good!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I wish we had more time to playtest/ figure out the bugs, those interactions definitely could do with some adjusting
