How is this game a platformer, what spin does it bring to the genre?
My game is a platformer, where evey level is the same layout, but each time you complete the level, there is a different twist to the gameplay.
How does this game fit the theme?
You play the same level over and over again. Going backwards each time, like a time loop.
What did you make yourself and what assets did you use?
I made everything myself.
Did you use any AI assets in this game?
No.

Really Fun game, Well done!
Why did clicking on the orange guy lead to the mouth game lol?
I added that in as a secret just for the funny I wasnt expecting anyone to find it lol
Listen this game is absolutely incredible for one person. Its probably the longest game in this jam so far and has been the most fun. The only thing i would say though is that is has nothing to do with the theme reverse. Sorry if that sounds too harsh but i just dont get the idea of reverse in this game. Its like if you served a top quality pizza in a japanese restaurant. Not kidding i give 5 stars to everything in this game except for theme which gets a 2.
This is an amazing game though and definitely deserves some recognition!!
Thanks for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed the game so much! The theming for the game was more of a loose adaption if the theme reverse than just something that was more gravity or time based because I thought that was boring. So I felt like going back in time was kind of like repeating something over and over again, like a time loop. If I had more time I would have added some sort of story explaining this.
Oh also I really enjoyed your game it had an awesome concept!
fair enough. loved your game though! how long did it take?
I basically spent all of the 7 days on it, and poured most of my time into it. It's my first actual game jam so I wanted to make a good first impression. The only other game jam I did was for a scratch game jam hosted by griffpatch. Which was a lot bigger. (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1098844000) I've also been working on a lot of big solo projects recently, so I just wanted to make something polished and published.
really unique idea and good execution of it. pretty neat game!
Repeating the same level could have been a bit overwhelming but you pull it off with a different twist of mechanic each time. Very nice!
Great art and I loved the audio.
great execution of a great concept! the character is cute and i love the way the sfx integrates with the music!!
The visuals remind me of Garbanzo Quest!
Actually, that was one of my main inspirations for the art
Super-nice controls and the main character is adorable at all times. The retro music and sfx is my cup of tea :) I like the idea of replaying the same level with new challenges.
Oh my God! It is a Mario-like game! Looks really interesting and good!
Very cool twist on a platformer! I enjoyed seeing the way the game changed each run. I think my favorite was being the enemy I didn't see that one coming. I got soft locked in the clicker section cuz I didn't realize clicks increased movement speed, so I got up to 22 billion clicks and then the character moved way too fast and ran into spikes immediately or jumped way off screen lol. Great work!
Very cute! I like the creative ways the level changes each time.
One of the most creative platforming ideas I've seen in a while, and so much to play, too! The difficulty ramp was quite real too when I got to the one where you play in the background. Thanks for making and sharing your game—so much fun!
Cool idea, love the music, graphics and the main dude
