that’s intended! I was trying to make a bit of a sandbox so I didn’t want to limit any possible solutions. 

I put level 8 before 9 to teach you how to use the jump pad—it applies an upward force, so if you’re already moving downward quickly, it won’t move you up fast enough to move along. 

The visuals remind me of Garbanzo Quest!

The concept of the game is really cool! The character interacted with some of the surfaces weirdly, but I think this concept could be really interesting if you had more time to work on it.

Hmm that could be because it’s entirely physics-based. The character’s velocity is the only thing that determines where it’s going, so if it’s harshly reset by an unmoving surface it would reset to 0. 

What do you mean stuck? I tested on a few devices (Microsoft Edge and Safari) and I’m not able to replicate the issue. The only input device is mouse, but you should be able to at least hit the quit button to return to the Title screen.

Glad you liked it! Thanks for the heads up! I just updated the game so the objects no longer collide with the character while they're being moved.

If you update the camera zoom in Picture settings, does it fix the issue?

No plans at the moment. The Steam version has several features that won’t run in browser. However, the playtest features slightly more content and some new features vs the browser version

I’m working with a composer to get some new music for the next versions of the game! I’m not a great musician myself :/

There's an option in settings to automatically end the turn when you place a tile!

Oh, I don’t know if the game will work through there. I think you need to play in a browser window because it’s a web build

What browser are you using? I’ve no issues on Chrome and Edge, but I’ve heard that Firefox doesn’t always work

It’s not a bug, but I suppose I could add that functionality… I’ll test it out!

The bomb tile causes a few unexpected issues with per-turn effects (like chain and plague). I’m on it! Thanks for reporting :)

It helps to be good at tic-tac-toe, but you can definitely tank some hits for strategic advantage! Even in the scoring algorithm, it’s a trade-off between the number of turns and the amount of damage you take. 

The tiles are supposed to return to your hand when released unless they’re in a valid position, so I think there might be another issue at hand. 

Thank you! That’s a feature, otherwise technically the lightning would make them destroy themselves. 

Unfortunately, this is a known issue. The leaderboard tool I'm using only allows up to 10,000 entries. However, I'll still maintain the top 5 manually!

I’m working on refining start/end turn effects so that they are more predictable. I’ll also take a look at letting end-of-turn effects play out before the board clear executes. I think that would make sense!

I really like the combination idea! I don’t know exactly how I’d accomplish it, but I’ll give it some thought and see if it would be doable.

Oh, that's because you technically placed the tile before the turn started, so it didn't have a turn to end. I can take a look at it!

It automatically ends the turn if you place a tile, instead of you having to click the “end turn” button. Were you having an issue with it?

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll respond to the pertinent issues below :)

2 - relics are coming! I mentioned them in the most recent dev log

3 - those aren’t bugs, though the enemy having an X tile was an accident. The gold retained is a logarithmic function to benefit players that die early into a run.

5 - that’s a bug! I’ll see if I can fix it. 

6 - that’s intentional. The enemy will always use the tiles in the order presented, so you can plan ahead. 

I’ll check out the plague tile bug! Not sure about the save issue, though. What browser are you using?

I'm probably going to leave a browser build on Itch and have the downloadable demo on Steam - there are some features I can't add to web builds (even loading screens!), but I haven't made a firm decision yet!

It’s coming! Enemies already have different dialogue depending on where you are, but the full game will have a lot more dialogue and mini stories in each area.

It’s at the start of the turn for now, so it happens between the enemy’s turn and the player turn. I’m updating the logic for the new demo!
