Sorry I couldn't rate the game in time, and reading the other comments it's a shame you couldn't get the stages working the way you wanted to in time, but I LOVE this squirrel art (or is it a kid in a squirrel costume?) and hope you can put that sprite to use in a game that you give yourself the time to finish. Great art and excited to see more!

Developer(+1)

Thank you. Np. Am glad that you liked the squirrel art. Am going to keep the squirrel for this project, am planning to implement the idea and update my entry in the future.

Such a cute squirrel! I wanted to play more, but sadly I couldn’t access the stage. Still, wishing you the best for what’s next ^^

Developer

Thanx for playing the game. The stage issue has been a big thing that no one understood, am sorry for that. I'll explain as I explain it to everyone tried the game no worries 😂.  To understand what was these titles (stage 1, 2, 3, etc.) they are External layouts that generates randomly (Procedural Generation) it is working as intended. The problem that these external layout didn't have the art needed to show the stage art, so for the debugging purposes I added these titles to see if the procedural generation was working, sorry for that. Am really glad that you loved the squirrel art and animation. I hope that you reach the game after the jam when it is developed as it was intended in the GDD. Thanx again for playing the game.

Thank you for the explanation! That makes a lot more sense now  procedural generation can be tricky to communicate at first, but it’s cool that it’s already working under the hood. I’ll definitely be curious to see the game again once it’s updated with the full art and features from the GDD. And yes, the squirrel art and animation were super charming,  great work and good luck for the post-jam development!

I couldn't access the stages. Funny squirrel

Developer(+1)

Thanx plenty for having the time to play the game. To understand what was these titles (stage 1, 2, 3, etc.) they are External layouts that generates randomly (Procedural Generation). The misunderstanding happened with everyone tried it (Sorry everyone), because the art wasn't completed and I didn't have enough time to complete the game design that I planned. I appreciate that you find the squirrel is funny, he is one of the reason that people loved to try the game (I would love to have the opportunity to thank you Squirrel). Thanx again for having the time to try the game.

Great character art and ok music, but I’m not sure how to access to the stages.

Developer

Thank you for trying the game. I appreciate that you loved the art and music work. Regarding the stages titles appearing in a random order, it was an uncompleted art work for the platforms art, that should appear instead of the titles (Stage 1, Stage 2, etc.). The titles was referring to a fully working procedural level generation. Thanx plenty for trying the game.

the squirrel sprite was nice, but i didnt find any gameplay, after reading the comments i understand it is not complete, and procedural generated levels? thats great , hope you complete it in the future ,  all the best.

Developer(+1)

First of all thank you for playing the game. About your question, yes it is as I explained a procedural generated levels. Hope that you enjoy the future updates after the game jam. Thanx plenty.

Looking forward to it :)

i like the art and music, good luck working on the game in the future:D also wow we had both an idea about squirrels

Submitted(+1)

Is a great start, I must say I'm impressed... The squirrel guy designed it so cleverly. Well Done.

Creating a procedurally generated level during a game jam is truly impressive and deserves respect. While the game might not offer much content yet, it’s a solid starting point with great potential. I’m excited to see what you can accomplish after the jam ends!

Developer

I appreciate it. Hope you like the future development

Squirrel looks fun, too bad there wasn't much of the gameplay i'm interested with what you had in mind.

Developer

Thank you for trying the game. Am going to complete the entire game of the game jam so you could see what I planned to implement.

Submitted(+1)

Bookmarking to see what's gonna be implemented if pixel art is gonna be as good as squirrel it's gonna be a nice game, fingers crossed!

I picked up a pink square at the start, but then I wasn’t sure what to do next. The stages seem to appear in a random order — did I miss something?

Developer

Thank you for playing the game the square that you picked at the begging was a speed powerup (Peanut of Power). And if u see there was a red marker that was the stage end marker what suppose not be seen. Regarding the stages appearing in a random order, it is a procedural generation game: levels are randomly generated, offering diverse challenges in each run.

i cant  access the other stages. squirrels cute tough. is this your fist game? I also want your opinion on my game, bad or good hehehhe. thanks in advance

Developer

Thank you for playing the game.

Regarding the confusion of accessing the stages, the stages wasn't complete so every text was a stage that I need to edit after the game jam, I couldn't fully complete the idea in my game design.

Am glad that you liked the Squirrel pixel art.

Yes, this was my first time to try developing something in GDevelop engine.

Sure am going to try your game. Am trying to cover all the games to be honest.

Submitted(+1)

ohh so thats why. congrats on making one then. G develop is such an amazing engine if you found the ways how to do things so good luck on you gdvelop journey and off course your journey to try all games. hope you became better at what you do and later in the future, maybe try your projects.

Submitted(+1)

i see the qquirrell and the text on the wall, but i can't access the different stages

Developer

Thank you for trying my game. That was not completed yet, I didn't have the time to fully complete it specially while using the Gdevelop engine for the first time. The stages was random to make the level seems different every time you play it well randomly arrange the stages randomly so every time you have a new experience. The stages wasn't ready all though it was randomly generated he text was on a different stage.
