Absolutely love the opening scene - great animations and voice acting - really awesome. I even really liked the game play, but it was too hard. The countdown timer killed me over and over again. I really wish you had difficulty levels here (which I think would be easy to implement - just change the countdown settings). Luckily, I was able to skip levels when I got stuck. I do hope you get to continue this as I would like to play a much easier version again.
Thanks for playing! Having a difficulty selection related to the timer is a good idea... I may implement that after the jam regardless of the results for this round!
Very cool :) I was very bad at this but I think was pretty awesome all the same :)
great story, art was pretty good the controls as unique as they are wasnt the greatest.
The story part of this game was sublime, the art and how everything worked together was perfect. I'll echo some of the other feedback and say that the controls weren't the easiest thing to get to grips with to say the least. I feel like if it was a little easier to control the drone this game could be right up there with the best in the jam!
Great job!
Amazing opening cutscene. Absolutely cursed gameplay. Glorbo has been avenged. You're next.
Now hold on... It doesn't have to be like this!
You know what you did. You know how this ends. Make your peace. Prepare to meet oblivion.
Welp... Knew this would happen eventually
An interesting game, it was fun. But why is turn left the button on the right, and turn right the button on the left? Loved the cutscene, but the levels were more about fighting the UI and controls than it was solving puzzles so it wasn't really my thing. Well done game though despite it not being a fit for me.
Thanks for playing! Dealing with the controls is kind of the vibe I was going for with this one as the main focus. I kind of wanted to get that feeling of controlling a robot that you aren't actually familiar with. Labeling the game as, "puzzle," was the closest thing that I could come up with for it lol.
The controls being a little awkward as part of the gameplay is cool. I think the game is well done and polished. I think "puzzle" fits even if it is about using the awkward controls.
The cutscenes and voice acting are amazing, the parrot impression is 10/10. But controls... I hate them, just simple WASD would be great, I could not pass the level 2 or 3 where are the first corners appeared, UX is like 0/10
Thanks for playing! I'm sorry the controls were a bit too difficult. The point of the game is to control the drone with controls that are strange and not normal though! Similar to games like, "QWOP," if you are familiar. If the controls were normal it would have defeated the whole purpose of the game lol!
I'm so impressed, by your story and gameplay! How did you manage to make soo many levels! :D
Also the animation at the start is amazing and the voice acting is on point! Well done!
Thank you! I appreciate it!
This is a cool concept! I love the mystery and the birb. I think what the issue with difficulty comes down to is that you expect very precise movements with a very imprecise controller. This feels like a cursed issue where you want some imprecise controls to make for interesting gameplay, but then the difficulty of designing interesting levels with that restriction is huge.
I think a helpful change as simple as having the rotation snap to say, 10 degree increments, or the movement being automatic so all you have to focus on is the rotation, or maybe even reorganizing the controller. I felt like I hit stop or play (which have almost the same function) every time I was trying to jump back to turn the other direction. Something to make the controls just slightly more precise would really make this game 10/10 for me. Right now, I'd say 8/10 for sure!
Thanks for playing! I definitely agree that the levels might have been a bit too tight lol. I definitely wanted a difficult game, but the exact preciseness may have been a little too strong here. I like your idea of the incremental spinning, it would make it easier to both aim and maneuver.
Very great cutscene and amazing voice acting! You have so many interesting shots in a short cutscene. The game is still quite difficult, but I'm glad that I can see all the levels even though I had to skip some levels. It's quite impressive to have made so many levels. I really like how you trigger the ending by shooting the projectile.
Great job!
Thank you for playing! I glad you mentioned the skip button for sure, I hadn't realized exactly how hard it was until I was showing some friends and they were surprised by its difficulty.
