A fun game, I enjoyed the puns and music. It was nice to see a story worked into it as well, nice work.

Awesome art and intriguing story. I think you have the start of an interesting game if you wanted to keep going after the jam.
The art style is great, music really mysterious and spooky, and the spider, OMG that is really scary hahah. Also, this was probably not intentional but you can slide the spider health bar, although it doesn't change anything when you fight it.
I really liked the music and the artwork. the textboxes kept flickering for me, the spider was hard but then i found a spot to stand were i couldnt die :D I could see myself playing a longer version of this.
i played in full screen on my second monitor which is be 1080p@144hz the flickering text boxes from memory I think might be when you click on the person. it flashes the text box too fast to read it but I think if I stood on/near them it didn’t do this. I was able to read the text by repeatedly clicking so it wasn’t game breaking. I also think the text box in the top right needs to be extended as I think there was some text missing there.
Thank you for your answer! The text boxes should only pop up when you stand close to the person. We have found a bug where a bullet will trigger the dialogue as well, but you're not supposed to click the people. Maybe that will be more appearent when we fix the bullet collision problem. And yes, you are totally right, some text is missing from that box, which will also be fixed in a later update. Thank you! It has been really helpful for us to hear your feedback
Cute little game! Making the boss flash white for around two frames works wonders for giving feedback to the player, it doesn't take too long to implement and affects a lot of how the game feels. Screenshake when the boss attacks, sound effects, etc. all add up to make the game more juicy, which is a core part of these types of games. The art is cool, I especially liked my moth friends!
Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate the constructive critisism! The Jam went by so quickly that we never even got to consider any of these things. We've also never made an action game before, so we definitely spend way too much time just creating the boss movements and animations. I'll remember all of these things for the future!
I like the movement, the boss fight, and the story build up. I wanted to see more small scale gameplay leading into the boss or more bosses as you mentioned in other comments.
I loved the concept! It's just a few lines, but the story is clear. Also, art and music are on the next level! It looks veeery good for a game made in just 3 days
A neat little game, I'm impressed you could create a boss fight in such a short period of time. The music is really cool, love the organ.
Also you put a small narrative into the game which was cool to see.
really interesting little game! the concept was intriguing and the art looked great! i really loved how the boss looked and moved. i thought the whole boss fight was really well put together, actually. i did find a way to cheese it by standing in the corner where it couldn't get me though... the music was great. sound effects would have been appreciated, but the tracks i heard play were awesome and fit the tone really well. i had fun with this one!
Most of the stuff surrounding the actual boss fight was added lastly for context, though that was our idea in the beginning. I get how pathing can feel a bit weird though. The original idea was that there would be multiple boss battles before reaching the end, but programming those were a bit more than we could do for this jam's duration. Out of curiosity, did you get the finishing popup after defeating the boss? We hoped that we could make more of a little scene there explaining what happened afterwards, but sadly didn't have the time. If it didn't pop up for you, i dont know what went wrong lol, but no you are not supposed to be able to go back. Thanks for playing though, and thanks a lot for the feedback!
