REALY AMAZING LIKE IT

Great concept, and executed well with a lot of polish. I liked the voice acting.

Really cool story and concept! I could see this idea being expanded to potentially even include killing a human and stealing their body? Would make for some interesting and tragic storylines! The levels currently weren't particularly interesting, felt like a lot of it was left to luck of who deals the finishing blow. There's definitely something here though, and I'd be excited to see where you take it after the jam!

Pretty cool idea! That last bit was pretty hecktick. I think you should add some sort of delay before they switch targets to you. Maybe add so that they don't start shooting until you shoot them again, which would alert them to your new body.

Hi! I've put together a list of my top games from the jam and before I post them on the community section, I'm just checking that you are okay having your game's link on the list?

Developer

Sure, go ahead.

Wow!!! This is amazing and so creative! I love the story and all the gameplay is very polished. Great job!!!

The game was fun and creative, I enjoyed the game a lot! Though, one suggestion is to lower the sensitivity of the mouse because it was too fast, and the audio of the game is too loud! Nonetheless, it was a great game!

WOWIE! This is my one of my favorites although the level seems really bland looking also I'm not sure if Jonsey was supposed to be a reference to Jonas Tyroller himself.

The name "Jonesy" being similar to Jonas was a happy coincidence that I didn't even realize until you said it. I just came up with the name on the fly when I was writing the script.

Thanks for submitting to the stream. Hope I was able to provide some valuable feedback.

Very cool! The sounds were pretty loud though. And also some of the gameplay seemed tedious and luck-based too, but apart from that, good game and good concept!

It was good. It seemed a bit long. But still good. mr narrator cool.

A really cool concept, though possibly out of place in a port-esque puzzle game? Would be really cool in something like Super Hot.

I really wanted to like this game. The concept just sounded really cool. Unfortunately, there are a lot of little mistakes that make this a very annoying experience.

First off, you really messed up the gun and made it really hard to use, which isn't good because this is a shooter. The gun shoots a little to the right of the crosshair, which made it basically impossible to aim correctly. Your bullets are also projectiles, which actually isn't a big deal since the enemies don't move. Just keep in mind that player's gun should always use raycasts, as it feels much more fair, even if the enemies use projectiles.

Speaking of enemies, they are kind of useless. You can't kill them as far as I can tell, just stun them. I think it would work better if it just took one shot to kill enemies, and one shot to die. That might sound weird but I think it would make the game a lot more fast paced. A lot of the time I found myself just waiting in front of an enemy, which was quite boring.

I feel like this mechanic would work better in just a normal shooter game kind of situation, instead of this test chamber type thing. This feels like a tutorial, except the tutorial is the entire game. It felt like you were just hammering the main mechanic into my brain long after I already understood.

I think you were trying to go from a puzzle perspective, but it just didn't work in my opinion. Look at Portal, for example. Portal is great because it takes a simple main mechanic and just does so much with it. Portal, and especially Portal 2 have a ton of other objects and interactable stuff that compliment the portal gun, like cubes you can pick up, jump pads that make you go flying, light bridges, gels, etc etc. You didn't really do anything interesting with the mechanic, because you had nothing to compliment it.

One of the biggest mistakes you can make when designing a puzzle game is thinking you can make the whole game with just the main mechanic and nothing else. Trust me, you can't. Even games like Baba is You, where the directions you can take the main gimmick are almost infinite, have complimentary mechanics.

Anyways, sorry this is so long. I really, really liked the concept, so I wanted to help you as much as possible.

Super nice sound design, i like the background voice "narration" it really adds a lot to the game, i just wish the shooting was more precise. You also nailed the topic. Great job ! (Also sorry for messing with your spaghetti)

The graphics were ultra realistic, and I won't spoil the main gameplay mechanic... but its mindblowingly amazing! Overall, this is an outstanding game and deserves to rank extremely highly! Side note: if you plan on updating can you add an FPS slider :D

Very interesting game! The motion blur was definitely too high for my taste- but I loved the voice acting and story! That target practice puzzle was a bit punishing, though- you had to hit it exactly in the centere, 5 times on each target.. :P
