oh boy if i fall into that lava again... bit tedious with the checkpoint system but w/e. wish it was a slow health drain but maybe you love the hardcore boomer shooters with 1HKO.

i love the tension between randomizing for a new weapon, and trying to maintain the current one. i just don't know if the tension was made palpable given the minimal damage i encountered in slow mo + the slowness of the wheel. maybe speed up the wheel and reduce the slow-mo to make it really felt.

I’m not really a shooter guy, despite one of my biggest hopes for the jam being that someone would make a wheel-based shooter. This game has friction, and its flavor is of a bygone era of boomer-shooter cruft. It’s unrelenting and brutal – this is a shooter where you will take damage. It reminds me a lot of DOOM II in terms of both its casual rage and its sprawling levels.

The multi-tiered lava level is incredibly well put-together. The ending level’s atmosphere was so powerful that I was reminded of the Burnt Ivory King arena in Dark Souls II. It’s honestly messed up that you tricked me into enjoying a shooter, and I walked away thinking “yeah the Oblivion Wheel thing was cool or whatever but holy shit, the level design.”

Really fabulous game, wild effort for a week. I think if you spent some time polishing this (or just making another shooter and polishing that) you could make something really incredible.

super awesome and polished submission, goes CRAZY. level design, enemies, destructible environment, all of it. AWESOME STUFF WOO

I really liked this one, the gun + wheel + destructible environments are all really polished. I feel like the fact that you can reload early to cancel out your current wheel-gun defeats the conceit a lil bit, but I only really ever did it in the last room so it was nbd. also I really like the music for no particular reason :)

Super impressive FPS game, love the test chamber vibes and level design! I can't help but feel I'd run through a clip so quickly it seemed better to just spam click than spend time choosing my wheel, though. Something was also changing my settings frequently, which interfered with listening to the banger soundtrack :(

Yo this rules!

All the polish on this is suuuuuper nice, fun idea too!

Okay even if it isn’t The Wheel, I need you to make more FPS games please. This is peak

So you just released an actual polished playable game in 7 days ... Congrats man , the game is crazy and the best entry imo. Fun , dynamic , arcade , very organic thanks to the wheel weapon , had a great time !

mmm posting here too -- there's a big bug involving player placement on loading the gameplay scene (from dying, main menu, etc.) -- it doesn't happen every time so either dying or reloading the game should have it work properly eventually. I did implement a checkpoint-saving system, so you won't lose progress when this bug happens (hopefully)

So sorry! jam moment
