Did you credit all assets in-game (including your own) as required by the rules?

Yes

How did your team implement the focus (and optionally, the theme)?
We wanted the theme of BINARY to fit into our Tetris scaling game by considering both the background and foreground as 0 and 1, as well as gravity itself. Our game operates in multiple 2 states of gameplay- both placing Tetris blocks and moving the player, as well as inverting gravity and playing on the top of the screen half of the time. We kept all our in game artwork as 8 bit, however we wanted to give the feel of an old arcade game, so we added an arcade machine barrier to juxtapose the 8 bit art and music.

Quartet (4)

Will you continue work on the game after the jam?

Yes - fun side project

Which diversifiers did you use, if any? (optional)

Everything is Tiny
Infinity

Which parts of the game were NOT made by your team? (Including AI generated)
Ai generated art for the game machine border using Imagine AI art
text art generation from Arcade Font Writer

Neat idea! I'm not a huge fan of the gravity shifting mechanic because in those instances I felt like I was just playing a bit of Tetris while my player character hung out on the sides. But that my just be a personal feeling about it.

I love the idea, but my brain it seems is lacking the skill necessary to get very far and keeps mixing up my left and right hand controls XD.

But not gonna hold my shortcomings against the game, it’s a super fun idea and I’m sure very enjoyable to play for more skilled players.

Nice work.

Interesting concept, but I wish you were able to ride blocks going down on inverted gravity. I also didn't really love the color scheme either, I thought it was kind of confusing and on inverted gravity it hurt my eyes a little. Other than that though, good job.

Interesting concept :) It can be quite difficult to controll both the player and the blocks, but after a while it gets easier. The arcade macine is a nice touch.

great concept but it does have a bit of a confusing learning curve with trying to learn how to move while placing the tetronimoes in the right places

Thank you for your comment! Do you think that a tutorial level would of been sufficient? Or perhaps make the easy mode far easier?

Actually yeah, I think a small tutorial section could’ve allowed you to guve the player some prep time to see what the game’s like. Also the game is supposed to be sirtet if you wanted tetris in reverse

Neat concept! Reminds me of an old tetris climb game with a stick figure I used to play all the time. I found controlling both the character and the tertis blocks to be a bit of a challenge, but after a few rounds it started to come together.

Very cool concept, was fun to play though the invert of gravity did confuse me a little.
