I loved this point and click game! Especially the art, and having cryptic codes and stuff, that was neat.
Nice challenging escape room game. Amazing art work
Great game, great art, great design of a puzzle room. The puzzles were fun and balanced. My only problems with the game were minor gripes: there's no 'X' for the paper in the cupboard and everything resets when you click on it (music and light).
Excellent escape room! I liked the art design and level design. I think designing a good escape room can be a challenge because you have to figure out a way to not make it to easy and also not make it borderline impossible to escape as well. I think you found a good balance of having it as a challenge but also not making it to difficult to figure out. Good job overall!
The art you drew is great, I like how you implemented the theme as an option while you play through the game.
This game was so much fun, and I really liked how you worked in the theme by having the song play with the record player. The game was challenging but I was able to complete it and escape. I can't tell how much work you put into the game. This is one of my favorites for the game jam, amazing job!
I thought the interaction with the game was quite great. I liked how when you clicked on the lamp, it changed the scene, along with the music disk. Overall, nice game :)
A very cool puzzling game with more things to interact with. This game also reminded me of investigation games where the player is looking for clues. The old music recorder is an impressive way to toggle music on and off. Nicely done!
I love the art style so much, and the theme of escape rooms was so cool. But I found it a little hard to get off items once I had them selected.
So cool. Very much in the style of The Room, and I love the gameplay/settings integration in the record player. I kinda wish the slider puzzle would have kicked me out when it was solved, because I stood there for over a minute going "okay, what now?"
The TV cipher might need a little more scrambling, since some of the encoded words visually resemble their English counterparts and that made the puzzle feel less like deciphering and more like reading a peculiar font.
Good work adding a method to block brute-forcing the final puzzle.
Really loved the challenges that you made in the game.
I really, really, really loved this game! The art, the difficulty, the amount of time I know you probably poured into creating all the challenges! Everything was great I have no complaints :)
Decoding the puzzle was very hard, indeed. Clicking a game is pretty good.
The decoding puzzle was hard, haven't played a point and click game in a while. Nice job!
This was a lot of fun to play and it seems like myself and lot of other people enjoyed it too! The puzzles were very satisfying as well
This was a really fun game to play! I really enjoyed the puzzle elements and figuring out the code was super fun! Really great game
I liked decrypting what was on the tv. Nice game!! It took me a minute to realize I actually finished the escape room lol.
Since this is a mystery escape room game, all of this is SPOILERS:
Man I was very convinced this game was gonna try to jumpscare me. I think my one actual criticism is that when clicking on certain objects there isn't a clear visual /auditory indication that the click was registered. So when solving one of the puzzles I didn't know if I was doing the wrong inputs, or if I was just not clicking exactly where I needed to in order for the inputs to register. Possibly highlighting the object, or a tapping noise, or both of those things would have helped here. (Trying to avoid spoilers but you should probably know if which part I'm talking about by reading this!)
But, the atmosphere was excellent, the puzzles were challenging and varied. My one not-a-criticism is just that I wish there were more; and that's not because it was 'too short,' I just legitimately would have enjoyed playing more of the puzzles! It took about 40 minutes to solve for me though so, again, this isn't a criticism just a wish haha.
Oh, art was outstanding!
This game looks great visually, and the escape room was a really cool idea. The use of both themes was done well, and the only thing that could have been improved was having the light stay on or off depending on what you did last instead of resetting as it does currently.
Awesome job with this game! It was very creative and I was impressed by the way you tied in both themes. I thought you designed it with the perfect level of difficulty for this jam. I did notice a few minor bugs, mostly after certain buttons were clicked. For instance, the exit button inside the lock puzzle wasn't working, so I had to either solve it or use the cheat button to return to the room. Also, every time I returned to the room, the lights turned off and the music started playing. I'm not sure if this was by design, but I felt like it would have been better if the game remembered which "state" the room was in.
