This is actually a scary game! But also a bit frustrating that you have no idea where to go! Sometimes I would feel stuck and hopeless :D Otherwise, I like the concept! Not being able to see your enemy (a character, let's say) is very good for this kind of a game! Visually looks really cool!

I'm sorry I couldn't join the stream. But I'm glad you liked it. :)

The concept is very interesting, but in practice I don't think the game provides all the information that it could provide.

Developer

I mean, yeah. It doesn't. And that's kinda the point.

Is there any specific information that you are missing?

Hi!
Wow, this was an amazing game. It was a completely new take on the theme.
I loved the story it built up and the action it brought mid game.
A bit too dark for me though lol, I usually keep my brightness at the lowest.
I have a question though, was the monster(?) that we heard in the caves actually moving or is it just sounds? Like do we actually have a timer during which we have to finish the game?

Developer (2 edits)

Yes, the monster is indeed moving. Or rather it starts moving as soon as you see the red light. Before then you can take as long as you want.

And if you miss one of the later jumps it's pretty hard to get out without getting caught. But if you manage the jumps just fine it's easy enough to get out in time.

hey,

very cool game again! maybe you can win the third time in row with this game! it would definitely deserve it. it has a great atmosphere and a quite unique take on the theme.

congratulations!

Developer

I'm happy that you feel like it has that much potential. I definitely would be happy to win again, but just all the nice comments and the relief that I managed to get the game as complete as itis despite the troubles I had during development are reward enough. :)

This was totally different than I expected. And it is sooo cool. Probably my favourite rn. I have to complete it later :D

Developer

Thank you :) Good luck on future plays.

The use of drones is a brilliant way to add atmosphere without burning too much development time.

Developer

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean with "drones".

Not that I disagree, i just don't know what you mean. :)

I should have been more specific with my original comment, especially since games in this jam are using (robot) drones!

Wow, just wow. I wasn't expecting a horror game, it looked innocent enough. I don't know what this thing was but I am definitely not going back to check. Great use of ambient sounds.

Developer

I'm sorry if I spooked you. I can definitely relate to that, since normally I'm not good with horror games myself. But this time I wanted to try it out. :)

I meant that in a positive way though. I really like horror games, especially spooky ones. This is a good one :)

Really great use of lasers! I didn't really figure out where I was going so I lost in the end. The scream is a bit loud... But I guess that's the point.  I personally would've liked it to be focused on exploring and finding things in the cave, as opposed to having something to run from.

Fun game and unique idea for navigating - great atmosphere setting, so creepy !

Tried so many times, struggled with the start but after that I just couldn't figure out a route to escape :D

Will try again later to complete it. Is a fun challenging game (at least for me and my average gaming skills!)

Developer

Thank you and good luck on future attempts. :)
