Congratulations, well deserved! :)
Can I ask how the comparison / score calculation works in broad strokes (no pun intended)? Are you comparing all pixels and based on the ratio of non-matching and matching ones you have a function with basic math only, or is there black magic involved? :)
Thank you!
It checks for each pixel if it's a perfect match, so it's nothing complicated ^^;
Though, I'm thinking of creating a full game from this and in that case I'll take the time to make it a little bit more sophisticated :3
Congratulations for your first rank :) We have almost the same concept of game but your game is nice and more beautiful !
Hi! Thank you! ^^
Yeah we do have a similar concept, except for your main challenge being the timer, and mine the minimum score + no eraser :)
Loved your game too btw! Felt very responsive and the timer really had you racing haha
Really great game and really well polished. As i suck at art i could not get it far but it was still very good! Would have been cool to have a eraser
Thank you ^^
I did think of an eraser and it would not have been difficult to add, but since there is no timer, I liked the idea of keeping the challenge of not being able to erase anything :3
This is gold ! so cute, so fun to play, the drawings are beautiful. I really wonder how the “simmilarity” function works… great submission
Yeah its so weird. i made it a lot better and the arrow was on the yellow field
Thank you! :D
The similarity is calculated on a per pixel match basis, so the positioning matters, though I'm thinking of creating a full game for this in which I would make that part more sophisticated. :)
Also if the score was unexpectedly low but you did draw in the right position: for a bit there was a bug in the web version of the game where on some computers (not each one and also not based on the browser, very weird) it only counted white pixels, making it incorrect, but it has been fixed a bit ago
Fabulous game! The color palette was perfection and the game oozed charm! Really loved it.
Glad you loved it! I'm very happy with the colors I chose for the paintings, since I eventually ended up using them for the UI and it looks a lot better than I had expected ^^
hands down one of the best games i have played this week, seriously even tho its a jam game, the level of polish and the idea is just genius
Thank you!! It's actually my favorite one so far, and I'm thinking of creating a full game for it with a bunch of different levels each with different painting color palettes, and twists :)
I sure do like the sound of that! Can you keep me posted on Twitter? https://twitter.com/SocksNGames?t=YGVqanpwLDUj8PNJZ7Eoqw&s=09
Amazing and very funny idea!
Had to FORCE ME to stop! Great work - love it!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you ejoyed it! :D
